Mak, I haven’t seen it only just sat down but ridiculously there are two separate rules for handball if it hits an attackers hand in an attacking phase and it leads to a goal even if it’s unintentional that under the current rules is handball.
Conversely if it hits a defenders hand or arm and it was unintentional it’s not handball. Clear as mud eh!?

5th July 2020 at 5:18 pm #126195They say “You reap what you sow” and for Daniel Levy his obsession with having Jose as Spurs manager must be giving him sleepless nights and nightmares when he gets sleep.
I don’t know a single Spurs supporter who wanted Jose as manager and nothing he has done has changed our minds.Levy fired Poch & hired Jose to get CL this season……… that seems to be going to plan !!!
Jose’s tactics are obsolete & are making decent players look rubbish, combine this with a lack of investment on Levy’s part and we are were we deserve to be, about halfway.
Mr Levy has a big decision to make about Jose, sack him and cough up ยฃ40-50m in salary or keep him and forget about any form of European football for the foreseeable future, as well as saying goodbye to Kane, Son et al.
I just hope he makes the right decision or he may end up with the best training venue, the best ground but with a team that can’t compete, there’s only so much money NFL, Boxing and concerts can bring in ,after all, this at the end of the day….. is a football club._____________________________

5th July 2020 at 5:21 pm #126196Possibly the most boring 45 minutes of football I’ve seen at Anfield. German commentators described it as a team that cannot be bothered to play versus a team that cannot play. Fairly accurate I’d say! This is equally as bad a performance from Liverpool as the other night the only difference is that was against City not Villa, hence the difference in scoreline.

5th July 2020 at 5:23 pm #126197Shiney, I don’t think Spurs would be able too pay Jose off given they’ve just borrowed ยฃ170m from the Government.

5th July 2020 at 5:24 pm #126198AnonymousAgreed Threeps, they can’t be bothered. I am again asking myself, if they cant, why am I? but Im going to give them another 15 or so mins. I think we’ll have Hendo and Firmino, maybe another on at half time. That should liven it up.

Great line!
To be fair Liverpool aren’t the first team to struggle once they’ve won the title I’m sure they will be firing on all cylinders when it comes to the Chelsea game.?

5th July 2020 at 5:36 pm #12620227, If it meant getting rid of Jose I’d start a crowdfund myself. Levy’s dilema, somehow pay him off or lose triple that figure with no European football for a few years hence “you reap what you sow” and “nightmares”

5th July 2020 at 6:09 pm #126205Shiney.putting aside the rights or wrongs of borrowing such a large sum from the Government it would indicate Spurs needed those funds to get through next season with the cost of paying for the Stadium impacting on them.
I don’t think Spurs are alone with their problems but Spurs have probably been hit harder than other Clubs by the costs of the Stadium and what they’ve lost in events too.
I don’t think Levy will fire Jose in the short to medium term as I don’t think there’s the desire or the funds to pay for it. Spurs do have multiple problem though with lots of situations coming together at the same time and you wonder where Kane’s head may be this time next year.

5th July 2020 at 6:19 pm #126208AnonymousKeita’s ball to Mane was good. I didnt notice anything else worth mentioning though. I have missed parts of the game though and find it hard to pay attention if Im honest. Its been better sicne Hendo and Wijni started running the show, with bobby up top. even then though, Im just not much with it here but if Jones can get as goal that’d be nice.

5th July 2020 at 6:28 pm #12621027, If I was Harry I would be looking elsewhere, there is no short term fix for the debt or for getting a whole new back four who can actually defend .This situation is wholly Levy’s doing it’s us the loyal fans who will have to watch crap for the next 10 years or so.

5th July 2020 at 6:57 pm #126215Sean, I think you have to look at the circumstances Sean, Spurs were on the wane under Poch there was limited to no investment and Jose inherited all those problems and that squad with limited funds to put it right.

5th July 2020 at 7:05 pm #126216AnonymousItโs nothing to do with Jose or the stadium cost. The stadium repayments are very low annually. The problem is the age and ability of the squad which is down to levy and poch. Poch did well but put too much faith in the squad he had. Levy also dicked around failing to strengthen because did what he always does and tried to get a super bargain. Missed out on Bruno Fernandes and dybala because he wanted to save a few million. Ended up with ndombele who isnโt fit to wear the shirt and instead of Dybala weโre rotating moura and lamela. The loan is just levy seeing free money that he doesnโt have to invest. Cancelled events and failure the obtain naming rights during our peak will impact the club but the near interest free loan will cover that. The problem as stated is levyโs refusal to invest in the squad and scouting team properly. With hi there we will never win anything. One league cup since 2001 with levy in charge is embarrassing and wonโt improve regardless of the manager.
