25th June 2020 at 10:31 pm #125782Brian Blue – That’s the worst isnt it. Meeting a fan of the same club, but they happen to be a prick.

25th June 2020 at 11:26 pm #125786Thanks for all the kind words from you guys, especially Gary – rivals but friends. Look forward to a pint or 5 with you when the pubs open, mate.
Really feel quite emotional. There’s been times I thought I’d never see another tit’ll, and my kids of 28 and 26, it’s their first. I’d witnessed 10 or 11 by their age but it was over half my lifetime ago. I’m just so happy. Sorry for being maybe OTT for some. I will come back down to earth but not for a while.

26th June 2020 at 5:45 am #125790Gday all, hope everyone is keeping safe. Just seen on the sports news Liverpool have won the EPL. Awesome for the fans, club & city to finally have the EPL monkey off the back, congrats to the players & staff.
I know not all fans represent their club the right way but I’m glad we can go out at city as champions. Hearing those city fans singing about Sean cox still lingers with me, as does the footage of the staff & players singing on the plane about how Mo Salah’s won F all. Well champions league, super cup, EPL etc isnt a bad sort of a season is it, maybe they’ll have to change their song just a little bit ?.
Anyways stay safe all, we are just starting to have a ride in infections from this f’ing virus & the sheeple are starting to panic but f’ing toilet paper again & it’s hard to get so it looks like I’ll be showering with the thongs on once again. (By thongs I mean pluggers, flip flops or whatever you want to call them, NOT g strings). Take care everyone._____________________________

26th June 2020 at 8:12 am #125791Anonymouscongrats to the liverpool lads on here. well deserved. people can point at other teams not playing well but Liverpool have been immense all season and destroyed most teams they’ve played. their performance the other night against palace was amazing. not allowing a single opposition touch in the area is a display of total dominance not seen before.
such a shame that there were so many morons outside the stadium celebrating together.

True enough Paxton and it’s not just the thousands that were outside Anfield last night they’re everywhere including all over the beaches.
What do people not get about the dangers of Coronavirus!

26th June 2020 at 9:38 am #125796AnonymousI think this is and will be the strangest season in football history… Not because of Corona, but because Liverpool won a league title…. ?? couldn’t have done it without Chelsea giving them a hand. ahahahahaha….
Best team by a country mile…. going to take some beating next season if they keep the side together. Enjoy life at the top Liverpool fans, it’s a short lived thing.

26th June 2020 at 11:09 am #125797Although a bit late, i wish to congratulate the Liverpool fans here, Sean, Mak, HH, and Nil. enjoy guys, what you club have achieved this season will be written in the history books. I’m pleased to say that we can take some credit for your title win by beating City (anyway it’s a joke). you have been impressive this season. and Klopp is the best manager right now.

26th June 2020 at 11:54 am #125799Mak…my apologies..I should have referred to City players but my feelings would be it would not be all the players and certainly not Pep or management. I think we both know what we mean and you have a reason for your remark. It probably was disgraceful just as other events that have happened to City. This is not unique to City or Liverpool as other clubs have track records.

26th June 2020 at 11:59 am #125800Nine…it is nothing short of being disgraceful about people massing as we have seen. These are the same people who are probably of furlough and getting tax payers funding for it, the same people who always moan about the Govt. not doing enough for them, the same people who do not care for putting extra pressure on the NHS, Police and Council expenses. As to the younger set…grow up..go and do something useful with your life

26th June 2020 at 1:16 pm #125802Sean, there shouldn’t be any crowds to control the country is still operating under a 2 metre social distancing policy and everyone should be respecting that.
It’s very difficult for the Government to force people to stay indoors.
People can point the finger at Dominic Cummings as their excuse but that’s just a massive cop out.
The Government shouldn’t be talking about closing beaches they should just do it.
Marches,Demonstrations, Street parties, Beaches and Parks and last night are not acceptable in the middle of a pandemic that has claimed nearly 50,000 lives and continues to claim lives we are all individuals and responsible for our own actions and we shouldn’t need the Government to enforce what is just pure common sense!
Anyway back to the football:
It may have been 30 years coming but it was worth the wait.
One of the truly great teams managed by a fantastic Manager and records will tumble between now and the end of the season.
Congrats Sean and all the other Liverpool lads on here.

26th June 2020 at 2:22 pm #125804AnonymousBrian, I wasn’t having a go at you or even any majority of fans. I don’t see the problem with myself being reminded of something that only happened last season, at a similar time (when City claimed the title). This is our first chance at a response to this incident :
So, I’m not talking about the fans but the players who are singing about Sean Cox being brain damaged and also about Sterling winning the double.
Brian, it’s no mark against yourself and it’s no suggestion that anyone at Liverpool is perfect, there are scum and idiots at every club (just look at the thousands of Liverpool fans who are today putting their families in danger because they just had to celebrate with other idiots…) but we expect these kinds of things from sections of the fans, not the players.
It is to these players, not upstanding fellows like yourself Brian, I would say to them : “Who’s singing now?” .. and I would say that with some bitterness too because you cross the line when you sing about an innocent person getting beaten so badly that they need care for the rest of their lives. It doesn’t matter what team that person supports, that’s beyond a game. So to be crystal clear, I do not aim anything in the general direction of Man City or any other club. I was reminded of the end of last season, by the confirmation of this one. That’s all.
Now to get away from that kind of thing, it’s been the weirdest season of all time but it was still great to have the PL title confirmed. Back to live, back to reality though lads.

26th June 2020 at 2:42 pm #125805Great for Liverpool. Shame it couldn’t be won officially on the pitch but that’s the nature of the beast.
Still think the PL would of awarded the title to any other club in the same position when lockdown was announced, but we go on.
