29th February 2020 at 7:15 pm #79377Itโs the pace Mak, youโd have thought Klopp would have kept a lower line today.

29th February 2020 at 7:15 pm #79379AnonymousI don’t recognise this team. I’m so disappointed in them. They had some incredible records just ,within reach and they pissed it all away with this utter shite “performance”. Disgraceful, from pretty much all of them.

29th February 2020 at 7:24 pm #79385Think Roberson the only one whoโs looked interested today.

29th February 2020 at 7:33 pm #79394I wouldn’t be too hard on the players it’s very difficult to do what they’ve done this season and retain the same level of focus and remain unbeaten when the title is already won.

29th February 2020 at 7:45 pm #79403Football eh. Watford 2nd bottom of the PL beat the European Champions and runaway League leaders 3 nil. Credit to Watford though I thought they were great all over the pitch

29th February 2020 at 7:47 pm #794059s-Spot on young fella,Liverpool lads are only humans, made of flesh & blood.Nobody expected them to go on the entire season like they done so far,in fact they have been close to superhuman so far.

29th February 2020 at 7:49 pm #79407Agree nine. These players have done unbelievable things this season.
We have been poor recently and we got what we totally deserved today. Since the break, we just havenโt performed well
Watford were miles better then us all over the pitch. They fully deserved their lead

29th February 2020 at 7:50 pm #79409Yeah that’s a big shock that one.
As for top 4,actually Nine, Chelsea are odds on favourites and rightly so. Chelsea are not great this season by any stretch but everyone else is worse. Nobody is consistent enough to catch them now.
There is not a chance Utd will win at Everton tomorrow. A draw wouldn’t be a bad result but I’ve no confidence whatsoever in Utd having any kind of consistency. Utd’s only chance to get CL is winning the EL.

29th February 2020 at 7:55 pm #79413As for Fernandes, it’s important to not get carried away yet. It’s not long since Daniel James was being spoken of as the signing of the season. Mhki started brilliantly, as did Di Maria. Signs are good so far but too soon to hail him as the saviour.

29th February 2020 at 8:21 pm #79428Truth be told that has been coming. Havenโt played well for a while now & itโs caught up with us. I think at this point of the season that game just came down to who wanted it more & with them in a relegation battle they had more desire.
With the EPL all but seen up I hope the players donโt continue this form & just limp out of the CL.
Whatever happens though our big one is the EPL so the day it becomes ours Iโll be one happy lad.
Take care all._____________________________

29th February 2020 at 8:39 pm #79440You’re a lot more confident than me Ed.?
I think top 4 for Chelsea depends on getting all of Kante, Tammy, Pulisic , Hudson Odoi and Loftus Cheek back and playing regularly they could make a big difference.

29th February 2020 at 8:57 pm #79452So are the bookies Nine!
Yeah it’s very much the same for us this season. Rashford is a huge miss for us. He was the only one replacing Lukaku’s goals until his injury, meaning we’re now relying on a Watford reject and an 18 year old as Martial is definitely not a number 9.
Missing Pogba and McTominay for huge chunks of the season has killed us too with the likes of Lingard and Pereira getting way too much game time.
I can’t see anything other than Chelsea stumbling over the line for 4th due to a lack of a decent challenge from anyone below them. I quite fancy us in the Europa though. For me, that’s easier to win than getting 4th this season. Inter would be a difficult side to overcome though.

29th February 2020 at 9:09 pm #79461Ed, the SkyBet odds for a top 4 finish below hope the bookies are right.?
I think getting the missing players back particularly Loftus Cheek who hasn’t kicked a ball yet for Frank this season alongside no European football after the Bayern game could make the difference for Chelsea. Like you I think 4th place is going to be who is the best of the worst too.
I agree United look like they have a great chance of winning the EL.
Leicester

Chelsea
5/6
Manchester Utd
5/2
Tottenham

1st March 2020 at 8:32 am #79491Iโve read reports and forums etc about this liveroool team being one of the best around but I disagree. We havenโt even won the league yet. The media have totally gone overboard.
We are a very good team even excellent but we are not one of the great sides yet. We need to win the pl a few times
This team is one of the best lfc teams in my view but itโs not one of the great pl teams yet. Not as good as cityโs team two years ago or Chelsea in 04/05 and the great utd teams.
We need to win the league first.
We lost a game and we will drop more points.
A blip was always coming. Itโs all about the pl for me. Good chance we are going out of two cups soon but once we win the pl then itโs been an absolutely outstanding campaign

1st March 2020 at 9:12 am #79492Sean, I’m thinking this loss removes the pressure of the undefeated vision which I believe was weighing on the club with the hope/expectation of its fanbase. With that now gone and the Premier League in the bag the timing is right now for them to focus fully on winning back to back CLs and leave the FA Cup to us ๐

1st March 2020 at 9:32 am #79494Anonymous“There is not a chance Utd will win at Everton tomorrow”
I had some notion that the match was at Old Trafford. I definitely don’t agree with your “no chance” stance. In fact, I’d be so on the fence that home advantage would be a major and almost deciding factor in who i think might win. It definitely came into play when I picked Utdf to likely win. Would I change that now? Possibly. I wouldn’t bet on the match at all though.
Now lads, as for the match yesterday. Watford deserved it, without question. I will say one thing though, i do not agree that since Liverpool have been so good, that this is then acceptable. As Sean says, they’ve not been great since the break and he’s right. Us just accepting this shit is what got us here though, it’s what got the players to the situation where they are getting balled by West Ham and Watford.
You’re all welcome to accept it and say “they are only human”, which does carry some water but we had a chance to play the most legendary season of all time and we blew it. It didn’t come down to a lack of talent, it came down to motivation and since we have other yet to be won tournaments, it’s even more of a travesty.
Now I know most of you will read this and think “leave it out, you’re so lucky to be in this position in the first place”, well so are the people who have matched the first 5 numbers of the lotto. You don’t see them and then tear the ticket to shreds before the 6th ball comes out now do you?
That’s a very fitting analogy for me because as a Liverpool fan, I know I’ll not live to see this chance again.
If I were Klopp, I’d play the 1st team against Chelsea and inform them that they are earning their place back in the PL, or I’d be playing the kids there.
Credit to West Ham, or Watford, or honestly any team we could play right now. That was such a lack of a performance from our part. I might not bother watching our next PL match. If they aren’t going to bother playing, why should I waste my time watching it?

1st March 2020 at 10:24 am #79496There is nothing worse for a fan, no matter what team, is when a team performs without interest or drive. I never mind losing a game as long as the effort is there. The result iwas coming I believe and judging from more recent performances already highlighted by some of you. It also comes with the exaggerated media frenzy. This is one defeat!!!! The test will now come in the next game.
