And a limited program due to FA Cup games!!
No real stand-out games, no 6 pointers, and on paper not many “upsets” predicted if I’m honest.
Just hoping my Spuds have turned that corner (again!) and get three points agasint the Saints, keep that gap between us and 5th…

17th March 2023 at 8:20 am #205443Paddy sacked by the Eagles… guess they’re planning on a new manager bounce to get those last 10 or so points for safety…
Bit surprised as they are 12th… but then again, the bottom 8 are bloody close, closer than Buffy and his knickers!!

17th March 2023 at 9:20 am #205444That’s sad because I quite liked Viera and thought he’d be a good fit. No win in 12 and have lost their Selhurst Park Pizzazz. Not as fun to watch.
Wonder who comes in.

17th March 2023 at 9:40 am #205446Hopefully not enough time to get one in before we play then Sunday and get the new manager bounce!

Caretaker manager with nothing to lose is just as “dangerous”…

17th March 2023 at 10:09 pm #205454I think O’Hara has a point here. This is just rather ridiculous from Southgate:

18th March 2023 at 11:00 am #205459This is week 28. Newcastle winning last night and back in contention for 4th.
Chelsea Everton the evening game could see them back in the bottom if others around then can win their games though that looks unlikely looking at the fixtures.

18th March 2023 at 12:10 pm #205461I appreciate people living longer etc, but I’d be concerned hiring somebody who is 75 years of age and taking on that level of stress day-to-day. As a Number 2 or in and advisory role fine, but full-time; really Palace should be headhunting elsewhere.

18th March 2023 at 9:30 pm #205463Conte absolutely fuming after that Spurs debacle today π. Carragher reckons he’s trying to get himself sacked and it’s hard to disagree after that
Antonio Conte was absolutely furious: βI donβt want to hide it anymore β here is always the sameβ. π¨βͺοΈ #THFC

18th March 2023 at 10:15 pm #205465I personally believe in things happening for a reason and if they are meant to be then they are meant to be. I like Conte. I thought at Chelsea, he was just a tad sure of himself, but getting to see him from the outside, he’s a humble man with Respect and Heart On Sleeve.
He’s reaching out. What I question in present day given the plethora of available bodies around; rather than take the sofa easy option of ‘punditry’ why isn’t there more involvement of a Number 2. Side-by-Side? Work Together and try and make decisions together.
I believe the Culture of the Here And Now Manager is Package Essentially with Loneliness. An forthright and an honest accentuation in that particular emphasis.

18th March 2023 at 10:20 pm #205466Any guy taking the Tottenham job faces the barrier of Daniel Levy let’s be honest. Not a sticky plaster by far as recognition in new stadia etc, but commerce of that nature is not reflected on the pitch. Harry Kane for me a Sporting Hero and I feel genuinely sorry for him.

19th March 2023 at 8:41 am #205468How in heavens name that was a penalty is beyond human comprehension. What about Var surely they could see it missed the player completely. Sorry but our officials are currently amongst the worst going.

19th March 2023 at 10:47 am #205469Was out all day, didn’t see the game, but saw some very brief highlights this morning… absolute joke of a peno and pretty much ruined our chances of a Top 4 finish… fooking joke this VAR is… no wonder Conte lost the plot…

19th March 2023 at 1:30 pm #205470Hmmm, seen the highlights and the high-foot. Contentious decision perhaps but equally, I can see why it was given. Spurs unfortunately have themselves to blame. They score the goals and do all the nice stuff in Perisic and Pedro, but lack the bottle to sustain the lead (bit like us). Conceding 2 goals in more or less the last 10 mins; soft goals, but you can’t take anything away from the spirit and fight exerted by the Saints – really hope they’re one of the teams that stay up – players really mucked in for one another and didn’t give in.
