Brian-Despite our club rivalries,us football lovers should cherish the few months DS has left in the PL.I feel that footballers like Silva & Hazard are not born every day,a joy & privilege to have watched.

23rd February 2020 at 8:36 pm #74094Sean@5:49pm I felt exactly the same as you but I watched MOTD and they shook hands in the tunnel as they came off. I would have been disappointed had that not happened for the reason you stated.
Commiserations on the Rugby England turned up today.

England were excellent today. Sexton not fit. Mistake to play him imo._____________________________

23rd February 2020 at 8:51 pm #74110AnonymousShame about the racsim chants against Rudiger yesterday.
Mav, wanna provide any evidence of this or are you just trying to tarnish an entire fan base with zero evidence and without even an accusation?

23rd February 2020 at 9:14 pm #74128Sean, England have been a bit up and down from the World Cup Final onwards today was a much better performance by England and unfortunately Ireland at the same time had an off day and didn’t play to their true capabilities.
It’s such a tough game Sean and any drop off physically or mentally and you get found out as England did in the World Cup Final.

23rd February 2020 at 9:22 pm #74134Mav, it’s such a shame for Hazard he’s got a hair line fracture of his leg now I loved watching him but you’re right the £80m plus looks like a good deal now.
It’s difficult to look past Liverpool winning the CL again if they can get past Atletico one nil sounds like they should at Anfield but they can be a very difficult team. Like you I can’t see either Barca or Real being up to win it this Season.

24th February 2020 at 5:50 am #74481Racism is a disgusting thing, but accusing people of racism is almost (not quite!) as bad. Of course, play-acting to help get another pro sent off is nowhere near as bad but is certainly not going to win you any fans either.

24th February 2020 at 5:55 am #74486AnonymousQuite right falsely accusing anyone of racism and it happens often is the same as the racists. You have to prove racism not come up with it simply to get or divert attention for other issues.

24th February 2020 at 7:56 am #74566“We fully support Antonio Rudiger with the action that he took – however there is no evidence to corroborate or contradict the allegation and as such neither ourselves nor the police are in a position to take any further action.” Tottenham Hotspur FC
The above is from the official statement from Spurs which given all the circumstances was fair and reasonaable.
Rudiger was booed by a section of the Spurs away support on Saturday for reporting to this day what he honestly believes happened which I guess is what Mav is refering to and why it’s come up again because that booing of him was widely reported.
Personally I think the whole thing is best left alone now and not used as a stick to beat anyone with including Rudiger.

24th February 2020 at 8:05 am #74575Back to the footie!
Liverpool v West Ham.
Final game of week 27 tonight. I can’t see it being any sort of contest and it just looks like a case of how many Liverpool will win as they march effortlessly towards the title. Keeping it down to 2 would probably be a good effort by West Ham.

24th February 2020 at 8:25 am #74589AnonymousMav – you are claiming there was racist abuse by spurs fans aimed at rudiger this weekend. where is your evidence? care to share this information. rudiger was booed. this could be because he’s black, or because accused spurs fans of racially abusing him and there being no evidence of this, or because he play-acted to get son (deservedly) sent off in the previous fixture. I guess we’ll never know but you are coming on a forum accusing a fanbase of racism when there hasn’t even been a complaint. unless of course every time a player is booed we assume its racist, homophobic, xenophobic etc. you’ve failed to provide any evidence of racism and when called out on it you’ve just given nothing to support it. shame on you.

24th February 2020 at 9:12 am #74597Maybe it’s purely coincidence, but I’m pretty sure Rudiger was never booed before the Son red card incident in the previous fixture, in that game or any other game between Chelsea and the Spuds…

24th February 2020 at 9:18 am #74599Anonymousbut with zero evidence Mav says there was racism aimed at rudiger by spurs fans in both games, therefore that must be the case.

24th February 2020 at 9:39 am #74602Good win for Arsenal yesterday Stevo. Arsenal look much more resilient under Arteta. Aubameyang is a class act but holding on to him in the Summer will be tough with a year to go according to Sky on his contract. Arsenal have a great chance of winning the EL under Arteta.

24th February 2020 at 11:17 am #74669AnonymousPaxton… Dont blame the player… He’s simply kicking a football about and being abused by fans for doing so… Players across European leagues are being abused for their colour and fans do need to change their tune. Booing a player for highlighting a really serious problem in the game or for what took place in the last game given the racism acusations is simply moronic. When are you guys going to drop the yid army chants and terms? Those are considered racist by sections of the Jewish community.

24th February 2020 at 11:42 am #74688Anonymous442 – I have not condoned anything. can you say for certain he was booed because he accused spurs fans of racially abusing him? no, you cant. can you say for certain he was booed because he play-acted in an attempt to get a spurs player sent off the last time the two teams met? no, you cant. can you say for certain he didn’t make it up? no, you cant. can you say for certain spurs fans are innocent? no. you have no idea why was booed. I think racism is horrendous and have experienced it throughout my life. it has no place in the game. tell me where I have criticised Rudiger? that’s right, I haven’t. if he believes he has been racially abused then I am more than happy for him to come forward. If there is no evidence to support it, that doesn’t mean it didn’t happen but you can be dam sure people won’t just sit by and have their name tarnished with no proof. you cant expect punishment to be brought based on an accusation only.
my point was Mav has accused spurs fans of racially abusing Rudiger over the weekend. he has zero proof of this, there have been zero accusations and complaints. when asked to provide evidence, he ignored it. it was an unnecessary comment and he knew exactly what he was doing.
Why you felt the need to bring up the yid army argument is beyond me.

24th February 2020 at 11:58 am #74702Pax-I wasnt in that game,so cannot prove if Rudiger was just booed off for contributing to Son being sent off or was indeed racially abused.Going by what Rudiger himself said to some German media. You must be one big fucking hypocrite,as when it suits your Spuds agenda you are the 1st to call people [Chelsea fans] racist & homophobes, and certain Chelsea player a murderer, but when it comes to your own players & fans it suits you to defend them.
