Sean, what’s also dreadful mate is our Away Kit. Apparently not a single win in that strip. Whoever designed that…..bad luck!!!

12th March 2023 at 6:57 pm #205334Just seen the Casemiro one. Wouldnβt have been surprised with red or yellow. Seen both given.
Ironically had he used more force, or a straight leg (which is far more dangerous) heβd have just taken the ball and not bounced back over the top of it. Then weβd say how soft the game has become had it been given as a foul.

12th March 2023 at 7:02 pm #205335I think Leicester look doomed. Just seen their remaining fixtures. One or Two 6 pointers. Get the feeling Everton will climb out. Somebody unexpected may sink in but tricky to predict the 3 collectively to go down.

12th March 2023 at 7:03 pm #205336Alfie, unfortunately mate, you can’t have any justification for studs up. How many times you view it or from a number of angles, the rule needs to set a precedent and above all consistency.

12th March 2023 at 7:15 pm #205337Youβll see studs up challenges in every match, nil. His issue was he got the ball and then, for whatever reason, his foot popped up over the ball.
The Southampton player tried to play the ball as Casemiro came in. What I am saying is had Casemiro used more force he would have taken both cleanly, which would have not been deemed a red as he wouldnβt have gone over the ball.
No argument on the red from me, but that sort of jumping in from the side with studs showing is made in each match. Usually the player takes the ball cleaner though and that is what cost Casemiro.

12th March 2023 at 8:28 pm #205339The handball situation is getting ridiculous now. I cannot see how anyone can be confident they know what is and isnβt handball these days.

13th March 2023 at 7:07 am #205340Alfie, that’s just it, I dont see Studs high up in every game. You make it sound like a regularity. Believe me, it’s a stand out and it wouldn’t ir shouldn’t go unnoticed. I’d be livid be it in malice or clumsiness if I was to see that and I dont care who the teams are. It’s done as far as I’m concerned. They deserve all they get from a punishment POV.

13th March 2023 at 7:41 am #205341I would say it happens in most games, but as long as actual contact isn’t made the ref tends to “ignore” it… unless it’s an absolute crazy “Brexit” tackle…
Speaking of “Brexit” tackles, my nipper (who’s really into the than “Handball” game), managed to get herself sent-off Saturday during a handball game… very proud!

13th March 2023 at 9:03 am #205342Just seen extended highlights, clear pen for handball not given. The player even takes his arm away after the handball.
Bruno taken out by a follow through tackle in the box as well. Casemiro clearly won the ball and then his follow through on the player was dangerous and got a red card for a follow through. Why is the same ref inconsistent in the same match?
VAR should have least said take a look on the monitor at both, as they did for the red.

13th March 2023 at 9:08 am #205343VAR had another crappy weekend all round I think… missed a whole bunch of calls, made a whole bunch of “inconsistant” calls, and generally continued to prove it creates more “issues” than it solves…

13th March 2023 at 9:35 am #205344One thing is certain after Sunday Alfie and that’s that people will no doubt stop the ridiculous suggestion that we’re favoured by Anthony Taylor because he’s supposedly a Utd fan π.

13th March 2023 at 9:53 am #205345Dunno Sweedy, somehow 4 minutes of injury time turned into a proper “Fregie Time” 9 minutes worth… π

13th March 2023 at 10:11 am #205346Well yeah, and considering we were the side hanging on with 10 men, you kind of made my point π. Ten Hag’s subs on the 90 minute mark told everyone we were only interested in hanging on at that point.

13th March 2023 at 10:16 am #205347It’s not even the first time this season we’ve had dodgy performances from him. Ludicrous to suggest he somehow is biased in our favour
Will be interesting to see if Anthony Taylor referees #mufc again this season. United contacted PGMOL in November over Taylor putting their wall back five yards further away in defeat at Villa when Lucas Digne scored.

13th March 2023 at 10:26 am #205348Are you suggesting it was “LeTissier Time”? Pull the other one, cyber chum! He was doing everything excpet put the ball in the net for you, he didn’t even book Rashford for that silly dive in the 2nd half!

13th March 2023 at 10:28 am #205349And that free kick was no where near the foul in the first place, but a lot closer to goal. Awful officiating, didn’t realise that was him.
I am against clubs getting a say into who can officiate their matches, PGMOL need to ensure refs are up to standard regardless of who is playing.
This one is down to VAR too though, they need to be consistent.

13th March 2023 at 10:33 am #205350Just seen the studs up no where near the ball, studs over the ankle challenge on Felix in the Chelsea v Leicester match. Yesterday’s VAR, Andre Marriner, was the referee for Pereira’s foul on Felix on Saturday. No red card for that one!

13th March 2023 at 10:34 am #205351Not suggesting it was anything Chucky other than that it doesn’t make sense to suggest giving more time was in favour of the side who was hanging on at that time.
