Which is why Ed I keep on about preparation. We visibly play with a slower tempo against a lot of teams and the results are poor. We up the tempo we play well. A few seasons ago we only played high tempo and smashed teams ledt right and centre. Things have changed this year and its what I have moaned about all season.

Don’t know about a yard, Shiney, looked like the player on the far side of the pitch was playing him (not by much, mind you!), but there was absolutely no way VAR could prove anything other than how many players were on the pitch… too far away and completely wrong angles…

Sean, that’s how my mind thinks mate; agree. To me 3rd and 4th are prestige places earned with consistency and a high points scoring.
I think during the pandemic season, we scrapped something like 67-69 points to steal 4th. However on that occasion, I thought we deserved it for Alisson’s heroics and it was something the rest of the boys pushed on after West Brom determined for a fight.
We’ inconsistent like the British weather at the moment and last Sun, I didn’t get too carried away.

Disagree Waspy, Spuds/Pool’s form and performances may have been up and down like Buffy’s knickers, but it isn’t their fault if nobody capitalizes on their poor and they end up 3rd/4th/5th… being as good/bad as they are, if there’s still 15 teams worse than them, then they deserve to finish where they finish.

That’s it Nine re Kane. I can’t see either Kane or Rashford, both local lads at the club they love, running down their contracts ensuring the club get nothing for them. Both need to be sold this summer if they don’t sign new contracts. It’s one thing to not sign a new contract but it’s a bit shitty to run down your contract and leave for free.

Yep Ed madness to think that Clubs will let multi million pound players run down their contracts in the last year and leave for nothing same applies to Mount if the likes of Kane, Rashford and Mount don’t renew their contracts they need to be sold this Summer.
