Shelvey’s been top draw defensively – everything, our own in Henderson SHOULD be doing!

11th February 2018 at 4:01 pm #15211That has to be a red, surely? Valencia is a very lucky boy…

11th February 2018 at 4:10 pm #15214Respect Jose – good handshake on Rafa and magnanimous in accepting the loss given the history of these two Managers.

11th February 2018 at 4:12 pm #15216Remind me again how much Maureen spent on wages, transfer fees, agents cuts etc.. for Pogba, Lakaku, Sanchez, Matic? Let the alone the amount spunked on the rest of the team. Combined with last weeks spanking against my Spuds, I’d be very worried if I was YooUtd. Today kinda reminded me of Chelski on Monday, they were playing by numbers…
On another note, how solid was the Geordie goalie on his debut? I’ll be keeping an eye on him…

11th February 2018 at 4:17 pm #15221Really important win for Newcastle. Saw the last 20mins and wasn’t that impressed with United. Were Sanchez and Pogba subbed earlier? ?

11th February 2018 at 4:43 pm #15233Easy to get carried away and start calling for the manager’s head after results like that but it really was just one of those games. We didn’t get the luck in front of goal and Newcastle put on a good defensive display.
As for the wages chucky, it happens! That’s football. In the same way Spurs struggled to get past a Newport side who pay their entire squad less than Spurs pay Sissoko, it’s just one of those things ?

11th February 2018 at 4:57 pm #15236Fair point Eddy… but that’s a few games in a row now… to me, the time looked like they both a) expected an easier game and b) were all expecting somebody else to do the donkey work.

11th February 2018 at 5:07 pm #15237Yeah can’t disagree with either of those points Chucky. I think we’d see a hungrier Utd if the gap between them and City was smaller and the title felt within reach. As things stand, top 4 feels relatively secure and the title is well and truly gone so there’s little left to fight for. That’s slightly concerning though, as that could easily lead to complacency and falling out of the top 4.
It’s a dangerous place to be in with the expectations at the club because defeats lead to a loss of confidence and it can easily become the start of a downward spiral. Jose had better hope the players start performing in the FA Cup and CL at least

11th February 2018 at 5:47 pm #15242Newcastle were magnificent today,JSH was absolutely colossal during the entire game,so was their goalie! Diame and JSH bossed the middle of the field! All-around a marvellous performance by the Magpies and fully deserved the victory.United were shambolic today, and it seems like a bunch of players who seem to believe that they are all Messi-s!

11th February 2018 at 5:47 pm #15243I agree United weren’t great today but Newcastle played out of their skins the Keeper especially and on another day that would have been a United win. John Jo Shelvey looked a real player today?

11th February 2018 at 10:28 pm #15273Great win for Newcastle. Canβt believe SANCHEZ didnβt score, or that Valencia wasnβt sent off.
Newcastle should stay up
