Chelsea I have no doubt will be a completely different proposition this Sunday. Their Midfield will be Strong and they have a number of Top Quality individuals that can make things happen like Willian, Pedro, Kante, and Hazard.
Higuaín too has come about, so I’m more than convinced for this to be no easy ride at all.

7th February 2019 at 12:39 am #330410z,that was no easy game and you do realise that City are only top courtesy of playing one more game than Liverpool don’t you.
City would have wanted to ramp up the pressure on Liverpool ahead of the Bournemouth game and that’s what they’ve done.
This is the cut and thrust of a title race which might well go down to goal difference and you have to keep up the pressure on your opponent for the title.

7th February 2019 at 2:59 am #33043Nine if it’s tight until the last 3 or 4 games that’s when you can say it’s a title race. Liverpool have been very average for a while now & your saying c$ty aren’t going that well either. They lost 1 game at Newcastle in their last 8 games, Liverpool has lost 1 drawn 2 & are getting progressively worse. I reckon it’ll be wrapped up with games to spare, but I’m just negative.

7th February 2019 at 8:05 am #33044Let’s not make our Everton were the Brazil 70 side lads. Cities hardest game if the season? They could have won 5-0. Everton created nothing but they did try their best. They are just an average city
City bring in 140 m worth of players on.
City also showed balls. They have players running their legs off. Bernardo Silva works very hard.I haven’t seen that commitment from Liverpool players in last two games
This will be over very soon
Chelsea are so up and down and I expect city to beat them.

If the Liverpool players had the attitude of a number of Liverpool fans on here then yeah it will be.
How about you stop wallowing in self pity and get behind the team?

7th February 2019 at 8:48 am #33047Oz, come on mate don’t bend the facts beating Burton twice in the Carabo Cup etc doesn’t count in PL games only City have lost 3 of their past 7 PL games. They have not been in great form in the PL.
And of course this is a title race. However as I said yesterday it’s what happens over the next 12/13 games that will decide the title now and who can hold their nerve injuries and squad strength will come into it but so will the number of games to be played by both teams across all competitions.
Liverpool have failed to press home their advantage losing at the Etihad when a draw would have maintained a 7 point advantage and then drawing at home to Leicester when a win would have restored their advantage that Leicester result gave City hope after the Newcastle defeat and the momentum has now swung City’s way.
There will be plenty of twists and turns in this title race yet imo the one disadvantage I will agree on is that Liverpool’s game in hand to restore the 3 point lead at the top of the table is away to United which is a tough one although stranger things have happened and City have to go to OT too.
But there’s still two games to come this weekend and who knows what might come out of those games given the turn of events at Newcastle and at Anfield v Leicester.

7th February 2019 at 9:26 am #33053Latest SkyBet title Odds.
Manchester City
5/6
Liverpool
11/10
Tottenham
25/1
Manchester Utd
200/1
Chelsea
500/1
Arsenal
1500/1The United and Chelsea odds look a bit wonky but probably reflects United fans putting money on United but neither will win the title so it’s immaterial.

7th February 2019 at 9:36 am #33055Three Ps exactly mate,
getting bit tired of reading negative comments.
I still think Everton last night put on a gutsy performance.
And I don’t get all this business about City only losing ONE game. The table shows as Liverpool only losing ONE game.
Anyway, quite encouraged by having a dabble with the Predictor Table! 😀

7th February 2019 at 11:44 am #33063Threeps and nil, apologies for my negative and stance and this will be the last post from me on this subject
Why do you believe we have a chance? The table?if so very valid point but my reasons we will not win it are the following and if anything is wrong please let me know.
The last two times a team had been ahead at Christmas and not won it, was Liverpool
We have lost our last 4 finals and bottled the league in the last 7 years. We bottled Seville as we fell apart in the 2nd half.madrid was just plain unlucky with what happened to salah and how poor Karius was.
Klopp has lost his last 6 finals. I live klopp. Best thing to happen this club since rafa but he can’t get us over the line. We will be the best Liverpool side in years not win anything and klopp will leave empty handed. I’ve no doubt about that. I’m just going to enjoy having him at the club and enjoy watch the stunning football we play at times.
Me and Aussie always support the team. Just because we think we won’t win anything doesn’t mean we don’t support the club in every game even when it’s continued disappointment as we just have bad luck. I think we are cursed.
Look at the team now. Injuries and now we are 2nd.
That’s my opinion. It’s very very negative but that’s what I think.

7th February 2019 at 12:17 pm #33067Sean it’s because we’ve got a chance mate with 12 games to go.
Man City have played 1 game more than us mate. Sure Bournemouth will make our life difficult and in essence, it’ll be the case for every fixture until the season’s over.
So we have ourselves have to embrace that. It starts from the support in the stadium and that installs belief and confidence into the players. We have to discard the nerves mate – win ugly if we have to.

7th February 2019 at 12:27 pm #33068Not sure anyone can argue with someone if he puts his believes down to being cursed, especially when “there’s no doubt about it” that Klopp will leave Liverpool empty handed. May as well give up now and not even bother with the next few season right?
I don’t mean to cause offence to either you or Oz but that sounds pretty pathetic.
Your reasons for not winning are very weak Sean. The last 2 times a team 1st at Christmas that hasn’t won it is Liverpool. So what? Different team, different players, different time. Makes not one bit of difference. Only thing that is constant is the supporters. The finals, all in the past and all but one Klopp’s team was the underdog. Makes no difference to the title run in at all.
We’re all entitled to our opinion, and the World would be pretty boring if we all had the same, but I’m sick of reading all these “City will run away, this is a fact” or “No doubt about it now, City are Champions” bullsh*t posts. It’s actually pretty boring now, it happens every time Liverpool drop a point or 3. Seriously you need to stop feeling sorry for yourselves and start to enjoy the competition. That’s what is is, a competition, which no one at the moment can be sure of the winner. We have a chance however, I’ve no doubt about that.

7th February 2019 at 12:33 pm #33069Don’t feel sorry myself at all mate. I’m just a realist. The curse part is a joke of course.
It’s not bullshit. It’s what we believe
I think we have missed our chance big time. I hope I’m wrong
It’s still the same club. The wright of expectation weighing people down and also the players
I’ve said my piece now. Nothing else to say about the title race

7th February 2019 at 1:21 pm #33073Banjo, a glass is only half full if it is in the process of being filled because that’s the end destination. A glass is only half empty if it is in the process of being emptied because that’s the end destination.

7th February 2019 at 1:36 pm #33075The problem is the game in hand is v United away.
On the positive side City have to go to OT too.
It’s very tight and very difficult to call and I still think progress in the CL or not may play a part.
