I said it before the game. This result has shown that we’re just not up winning the league this season. We’ve not dealt with injuries or being ahead. You can pin the blame on either if you like, it’s clearly both. I’m tired of being disappointed though. I am sick of seeing this from Liverpool. It really looked like we had shaken it and i will say that we genuinely (for once) looked like title winners, in the way we played. The mentality of the team looked so good but it’s just not there.
I’m holding back from saying some properly dramatic things because I now know.
Credit to Keita, he had 3-4 really good moments in the later stages. I was rightfully critical of him before but he improved. Again, just saying that because I had been vocal.
Fucking Liverpool though. really sick of them now. You think you’re good and they just let you down.

4th February 2019 at 10:01 pm #32898Let’s not write Spurs off guys – only 5 behind. If they can get Alli and kane back quickly and avoid any further injuries to key players – you just never know.

4th February 2019 at 10:03 pm #32900It’s certain sections of the media that get carried away. At the same time, there are our own supporters out there that maybe feel forced (for their own reasons they only know) in predicting negative outcomes of a match.
There’s got to be some form of optimism otherwise, we may as well give up and not bother with this.

4th February 2019 at 10:04 pm #32902Gi, good call on Spurs – said this a few weeks ago.
Teams go through spells in dropping points, though City this time last season were practically flawless!

4th February 2019 at 10:11 pm #32907Mak @ 10pm, mate had over 10 years in recent times of it on Forums – remember 08/09?
We’re unlucky for the fair share of luck around on this planet.
I’d feel for Klopp more than anyone if we went another season without Silverware.

4th February 2019 at 10:12 pm #32909Might come down to who gets knocked out of the CL now. All three are in with a chance now and any one of them without CL commitments might prosper.

4th February 2019 at 10:12 pm #32910Anonymoustrue Nine. I only wish we could win one but “next year” is back on the menu.. I’m sick of eating that shit though. I think this may genuinely be my last year as a fan. I’ve never been like that before but I’m tired of getting sucked in and this has been the worst one. 2013/14 was bad enough. This is much worse.

4th February 2019 at 10:21 pm #32911Maybe coming across as Violins, but no Gomez and no Trent along with no proper cover makes our life harder.
I don’t know what exactly went on in the first half, but in the second half, Kieta and Fabinho were defensive and more of a box-to-box.
We’re in need of a Top Striker or an Attacking Midfielder willing to fire the Shots.

4th February 2019 at 10:21 pm #32912Mak, it’s not over mate Liverpool are still in a fantastic position if someone had offered you a 3 points lead at this stage of the season before the season started you would have snatched their hand off.
Swap you.?

4th February 2019 at 10:37 pm #32913“I think this may genuinely be my last year as a fan”.
FFS Mak, this comment takes the biscuit. I followed City, home and away, in the third tier – missed only four games that season. Get a grip, it’s only a game._____________________________

4th February 2019 at 10:47 pm #32914Gi,
mate, it’s levels of expectations – always has been supporting Liverpool. We’ve gone too many seasons without any Silverware and just underachieving. Fed up regularly nowadays in settling for a bridesmaid.
I get where Mak comes from – felt like that last Weds when we played Leicester.

4th February 2019 at 11:36 pm #32916Well whoβd have thought, c$ty will hit the front with a dozen or so games to go after being well behind just before Christmas. You donβt really need to be a fortune teller to predict the EPL, itβs worse than other leagues for predictability. The only club that could possibly compete with c$ty over a season is manu, if they get into C/L they will be able to spend whatβs required to compete. Rich dudes from the Middle East taking over a club is the only other way.
Yes nine & Adlab I know itβs not over & Liverpool are in a great position blah blah blah, as Iβbe said all season no one can compete with the squad c$ty have.
Mak I tried warning you mate donβt get sucked in, Sean knows, money talks old mate, itβs all that matters in sport these days. Sad but true._____________________________
