As for again rival fans trying to say its a weak league, Liverpool have no strong rival, what a load of bollocks. The league, bar the bottom 4, is probably the strongest I’ve ever seen it. Tradioanlly ‘smaller’ teams like Forest, Villa, Bournemouth, Brentford and Fulham are much stronger than they used to be by effective recruitment for both on and off the pitch.

I guess Liverpool topping the CL league round is an indication of weak European teams too?

I will bet that if Liverpool do win the league and Arsenal come 2nd, that Arsenal will have more points than the vast majority of 2nd place finishers when Utd won the league those times.

I totally agree with your 2nd post… the league is as strong, if not stronger than it’s ever been… all those previous “mid-table” teams have gained that extra 10% and dragged themselves up… it just looks like all the previous “top-teams” have dropped 10%…

The level of competitiveness and results as well as strength of the teams showing more equilibrium than let’s say a decade ago when it really was only a representation of ‘SKY 6’.

True points 3ps. Man United won League Titles on points tallies of 80s. Liverpool win 1 Title from their finishing positions of 99-97-92 against one of the Greatest PL Teams the competition has graced in modern history.

Many Clubs benefitting from 2nd/3rd sponsorship deals as well as TV Money and Social Media Platforms. Though their is criticism on inflation of season-ticket prices and stand alone match day tickets, recruitment of players for example and fostering them is a credit.

FFP or PSR as now known needs to be monitored so that those very rich clubs don’t get too carried away with transfer fees and player salaries.

I’ll tell you one thing, I’m amazed how often somebody needs treatment around the 26 minute mark into every half, and double amazingly, always seems to be fit to carry on once everybody has had a drink… wasn’t there meant to be rules about that sort of thing? 😉

I notice once again, emphasis on Cucurella. He really takes up a chunk of possession for a Defender. Surely that requires and energy and he’s going to position himself high up as a result!!
