Taylor’s just booked a Gunners player for time-wasting now so there’s no singling out.

15th February 2023 at 9:00 pm #204364At almost 23yrs of age, why is Phil Foden mot yet a regular starter for club and country in the biggest games? Curious to hear why City fans think he isn’t starting. Has he not really kicked on in his development?

15th February 2023 at 9:15 pm #204365That’s a killer blow to the game. Gosh, there’s something familiar about all this.

15th February 2023 at 9:16 pm #204367The very silver lining is that Arsenal still have a game in hand and play first Saturday; plus City have to go to the City Ground and no easy ride there.

15th February 2023 at 9:19 pm #204368Maybe an experienced ‘old head’? Reminds me all this of Blackburn 93/93 versus Man United. There’s a possibility of Arsenal narrowly losing out, but in the midst of the here and now, full Kudos without a doubt for giving this a real go.
Not over by a long chalk in-spite.

15th February 2023 at 9:21 pm #204369Maturity paying off for Pep, adding Haaland in the summer to an already decorated squad.

15th February 2023 at 9:35 pm #204371It’s the cutting edge that City have which gets them over the line over most seasons. They’ve scored 12 more goals this season than Arsenal with a similar defensive record.

15th February 2023 at 9:40 pm #204372I just think it’s down to ‘been there done that’. City for years have essentially immersed the pitch with the same players and established players.
Huge Huge credit to Arsenal this season for really stepping up.
It’s not over at all. Second purely on goal difference and factually, a game in hand. It’s still in Arsenal’s hands.

15th February 2023 at 9:48 pm #204373Arsenal wonβt get an opportunity like this again for a while. City have been no were near their usual standard and you need to take the chance as city will always come back strong at sone stage
This arsenal blip was always going to happen. Lack of experience and city will win it easily now

15th February 2023 at 9:53 pm #204374Ed, apparently Foden came back from the WC with a foot injury and was initially brought back too soon. Added to that he had an illness recently which side-lined him for another week or so.
When fully fit he is one of the first on the team sheet – played almost every week before the WC and if my memory serves me right, scored a hat trick in the Manchester ‘derby’ – they don’t come much bigger than that.
I fully expect him, providing he is now fully fit, to play a big part in the rest of our season._____________________________

15th February 2023 at 9:58 pm #204375That was a wonderful (stuff of champions) second half performance from us tonight. Pep appears to have re-discovered his masterclass mojo after one or two odd decisions over the last couple of months. Still in Arsenal’s hands but what is that going to do for their, already, lowish confidence?

15th February 2023 at 10:05 pm #204376I think it’s in city’s hands given even if arsenal win game in hand if city beat them it cancels it out and city have edge in goal difference. Add to that the steel city have from experience in title run in and I would have city as strong favourites now.
