Sean, Sakho is Sakho mate. Never deemed him as a threat; lol just have that picture of him in side-passing to Steven Gerrard and catching him off guard – why?
Just aim to play it high into the box.
Henderson’s the same a lot of the time and a chicken, preference to a Side or a Backward pass. BOY, THE GUY IS ONE PASSENGER!

19th January 2019 at 9:07 pm #31696Nil, we havenโt dropped any points to any of the teams out of the top 6. Thatโs just a crazy mate and of course that will end st some stage. That canโt continue but the problem is, we just canโt really drop any points as I can see city going unbeaten until end of the season
We have 60 points. Any other season and another 8 wins would really suffice but we might need to win another 14 to win the league. Thatโs just absolutely crazy mate. City or Liverpool
May need to break 100 points to win the league.Really just our luck to be in a race againest a team like city. Few years back and we be well clear

19th January 2019 at 9:18 pm #31697Sean, all true mate, and well recognised.
Anticipating a Manchester City Victory places us back to 4 points.
They have EVERY RIGHT AND FAIR PLAY TO THEM. It’s a competition ultimately.
We just gotta hang in there mate. Hard work though haha ๐ ๐
Maybe, just maybe – we live to tackle another day ๐ ๐

19th January 2019 at 9:58 pm #31698One last word. If the Salah penalty was a one off so be it. It happens.
Sadly its not a one off with him……is it?_____________________________

19th January 2019 at 10:28 pm #31699AnonymousSorry lads, my mistake. It wasnโt given as a penalty. It was just a dive from Salah in the end.

19th January 2019 at 10:41 pm #31701AnonymousAdlab, by the way you were talking about it, it seemed like the penalty was today. I was convinced I missed it but my stream wasnt down for that long overall, even if it was quite poor in comparison to usual. I’m not sure why you’re talking about us getting a penalty though because we didnt today.
Salah dived and the ref didn’t give in to it. Before this Salah has dived one time for a penalty, with 2 actual fouls other times that you and others are calling dives. None of these penalties, dive or no dive, mattered to the results. We’d still be 7 ahead right now without them.
Sean, it’s mental alright but I’d like to think that Man City can drive this team on to become as good as they can be. Whoever wins the PL this season has got to be one of the best PL sides ever, if not the best. Obviously City are already defending a record points PL title, so they are already well involved in that conversation. I’ve said it before, they are already in my opinion, the best PL side ever. It’s just that we have the chance of usurping them.
I’m expecting City to batter Huddersfield but they have just lost their manager and we all know that teams can have an uptick after this sometimes. I don’t think they’ve got what it takes to get a result from City but you can never say never. 4, 5 or even 6 goals for City is not out of the question though.

19th January 2019 at 10:42 pm #31702AnonymousNP Alfie. No dispute from me regards Salah’s dive today. I’d have booked him.

19th January 2019 at 10:50 pm #31703AnonymousSorry if this comes out wrong. Iโm not fussed, just find it funny. Watching MOTD and the ref that took no action against Klopp after running into the pitch in the Merseyside derby has just sent off the wolves manager for doing the same!
Not a dig at Liverpool, but it doesnโt help the big club bias theories.

19th January 2019 at 11:01 pm #31704AnonymousAnd alonso should get a ban following the arsenal match. Canโt put you hand in someoneโs face, ref didnโt see it.
Sarri saying Chelsea werenโt motivated?!

19th January 2019 at 11:03 pm #31705Firstly great to see another 3 points in our quest for the holy grail, we deserved to win IMO & Hendo had a great game.
Secondly, I absolutely hate how Salah goes down so easy. I’ve chopped into opposition players for doing it & I hate how he does it. I get how people say it’s the dark arts & Liverpool need to get good at them as everyone else does it but I just can’t like it. Like I said about many top players over the years, they don’t need to dive, they are top players that can beat players with skill & speed. I know I’ll cop the old excuses, the refs aren’t giving legit penalties so they have no option etc etc but I’ll never condone it.
Anyhow great to see us maintain the pressure on c$ty & here’s hoping for a miracle & a bit of breathing space, not that I expect it (they’ll win 4-0)._____________________________

19th January 2019 at 11:30 pm #31706Just honestly don’t understand this made and accentuated to be such a Big Deal, re Salah?
There was no Penalty awarded.
There was at least 2 possible handball claims.
So just not sure this week why this level and type of reaction.

19th January 2019 at 11:47 pm #31707Oz, true mate. Not an easy victory by a long chalk and we were made today to fight for anything. It’s hard work, but naturally expected at this level.

20th January 2019 at 5:25 am #31708AnonymousAlfie, nah man don’t worry, I don’t think anyone is gonna take that up wrong. I was disgusted with Salah yesterday when he dived. He’s better than this rubbish. Liverpool are better than this. We don’t need to cheat and even if we did, I wouldnt want to see us making a habit of it.
As for Jota being sent off. I just went looking for the highlights. I was honestly expecting to see something that was different, like him lingering on the pitch. Something that I would be saying separated him from Klopp but he didn’t. I don’t see any difference between what he’s done and what Klopp did. Sometimes an institution will nip something int he bud when it looks like it might become a trend though. That’s my only thought on it, I mean, besides it being a case of how some ref might let it fly, just. When another says “this isnt on”.
Personally I don’t think it’s a case of where both managers should have been sent off , although I know some will disagree. I am definitely on the side of where neither manager has done any harm. Neither have slowed the game down or taunted the opposition in any way. I think you’ve got to be careful when you staunchly follow the rules to no real purpose. You can kill the soul of something.

20th January 2019 at 5:37 am #31709AnonymousThere’s been a lot of talk about how we could have had 2 penalties. My stream was not great at times and I know I missed an incident where a player apparently put both his hands in front of him or something, so i can’t comment on that but I did see the other incident and I will say that no way in hell was that even close to being a penalty. That was completely accidental and we shouldn’t talk about it in the way that we have.
On one end we have a player of ours who is honestly just becoming a ****ing diver. He’s a cheat and he’s ruining the image that I had of him as a person. You know, there is no excuse for it and that’s what i think this is, excuse making. It’s insulation. The thing is though, this diving has offered us no advantage, so we don’t need to do this. We won this match, like the other diving incident, on the back of our legitimate football.
I am a bit bitter about the whole thing because it takes the sheen off of what we’re doing. We’ve achieved nothing but good football so far but we’re building towards something good here and you know what, sure, I expected Klopp to back Salah in the press but I had hoped that we wouldn’t see this continue on the field. Now, it’s happened again and i definitely want to see a change from here on. Yes, all teams dive the odd time but it’s the habit that bothers me. The seeming reliance on it. Perhaps Salah is struggling because as some have pointed out, his goals are are statistically numerous but the quality of them has definitely gone down this season. You’d say it doesn’t matter but they might dry up if he’s struggling to have the same impact on matches, apart from nipping goals.
anyway, I won’t go on further.

20th January 2019 at 6:57 am #31710Mr. Mak, two great posts, when all said and done, we all want the same, we want our team to win the league and for others to say that โinsert your team hereโ in the xxxx season played great football, and not have that achievement detracted from by accusations of cheating…..Pagan

20th January 2019 at 7:56 am #31711Two wrongs never make a right but football went in another direction for me when the Referee did very little for Salah in the Champions League Final last Summer. I totally detest Sergio Ramos, never forgive, completely stopped liking Real Madrid and withdrew my interest altogether from watching that category of football.
We do need to clamp down on those in habit of dishonesty, but in the same breath, I hear “it’s part of the game”.
What can we honestly do here as fans? Venting it too relentlessly on forums does not achieve anything but bad feeling and atmosphere amongst contributors (or at least that’s how it may come across).

20th January 2019 at 9:01 am #31712What I do not understand is the “divers” in the game are invariably good footballers and should not have to resort to dishonesty, instead, let there football skills do the talking. They do not wish to do this and no fan likes to see it , be one of there team or not If it is not clamped down on it wil get worse and players will be taking acring lessons to achieve there aim

20th January 2019 at 9:36 am #31714Alfie, ye abd it was the same ref who didnโt sent klopp over either mate
Problems are the refs are so inconsistent
Kompanys afoul in salah was a straight red yet he gets a yellow and Bailey and Boly are sent off ???
Be interesting to hear if Adlab thought Kompany shoukd have been sent off for that foul againest salah as he thought Boly deserved his straight red

20th January 2019 at 9:52 am #31715Not sure whether the guys will be swept away for a mini break in the Sun – they just about deserve it after yesterday – ha! ๐
A bit of time out is just what they need.
Very important to have grinded out all 3 points yesterday as I feel and a slight fear that anything less and Man City are waiting in the wings to leapfrog us.
This would also grow in hope for Tottenham who are certainly not out of it.
Can see comfortable wins for both this afternoon – nice bit of Sunday rest and Sunday Lunch, and enjoy the footy and the Snooker Masters a little bit later ๐ ๐
