All this talk about 7 points is a false dynamic until a game is actually cleared by Man City as a defeat.
Imagine if we had lost this and Man City go on to win, then that would be just 1 point and it would feel as though the wheels have fallen off.

19th January 2019 at 5:03 pm #31648Adlab,
When Palace levelled at 2-2, Van Dijk was held by Ayew.
Plus, Mane was also held just outside the area.
A fair few handballs too, so VAR might have corrected these as of decisions that went against palace.
And I don’t at all disagree with Salah CHEAPLY going down.

19th January 2019 at 5:06 pm #31650Sean, true mate.
I would have been gutted if we dropped any points today.
We need to save our cushion for Feb when we play Man United at Old Trafford because we’d be lucky to get a draw there.
Hopefully our main defenders get fit and back to playing because we struggled today and our front 3 got us out of Jail.

19th January 2019 at 5:11 pm #31653City will win5-0 tomorrow
We showed a bit of character today. Palace are a very good side away from home but concerned we conceded 3 goals.

19th January 2019 at 5:15 pm #31658AnonymousThe absences are stacking up now. We need Gomez and Wijnaldum back ASAP. I just hope Fabinho isn’t injured now but we’ve 11 days to get people back. The 3 points are all we could win today and we did it. Operation successful.

19th January 2019 at 5:22 pm #31659Yes, thank goodness now for us, there are no fixtures till the 30th.
It’s Leicester and at Anfield.
Most of our defenders will have recovered by then (touch wood). Gomez should be back with us early Feb, and we hope in the meantime, nobody else is injured.
Wynaldum was missed.

19th January 2019 at 5:25 pm #31661Klopp needs to take Salah aside and have a word. He’s such a good player he doesn’t need to do all this throwing himself to the ground.

19th January 2019 at 5:27 pm #31662Yep nice break for Liverpool now which is a big plus for them. I wonder if they’ll go away for some warm weather training.

19th January 2019 at 6:05 pm #31666Mak. Wrong decisions today. Thought the penalty given was wrong and I thought Liverpool had a good shout for two others.
The referees need help. Im sure there will be iffy decisions tomorrow too whoever they favour.
VAR is certainly not perfect and some decisions will still be wrong but the fact of it being there will be a good warning to all divers in all teams when they get a yellow. But we will get more correct decisions than we have now._____________________________

19th January 2019 at 6:12 pm #31667AnonymousOh sorry Adlab, I was thinking you were suggesting that decisions went our way today. I mean, we were kinda fortunate given the way we defended and that keeper with the howler but ya 😛
I didn’t see the penalty decision that you’re talking about I’m afraid. As for Salah, I was disgusted with him. That’s 2 COMPLETE dives from him recently. I don’t like seeing that shit from a Liverpool player.
As for the games left, well 2 of them are cup games. You can put out whatever teams you want for them.

19th January 2019 at 6:22 pm #31669Quite surprised at the scoreline from the Emirates – would have expected Chelsea to be tighter. Can’t take anything away from those 2 goals.
Neck n neck on the live table with United as it stands.
City and Liverpool have similar fixtures except that City face Arsenal at the Emirates and I can definitely see United being up for both City and Liverpool at Old Trafford.
