… for Angie… that’s all I can say… yes, we’ve got a few injuries, and yes, we’ve got to play the youngsters, and yes, no bench for any meaningful level of rotation… but ffs, doing the same thing over and over again yet expecting a different result?
I like the fella, I really do, but it’s a results driven game and he’s not producing them.
Anyway, with Moyes back, can’t see Everton being too open at the back, chances will be few and far between… things are so bad, I’d probably take a draw right now if you offered it!
As for the rest, probably Corners vs Villa is probably the stand out, a nice Saturday match, maybe I’ll get myself a curry or something…

18th January 2025 at 10:39 am #217409Good Headline and Good Morning Chucks my good friend.
This could be applied to us as a must win game. A lot like our silly people in charge of our country, the media widespread are tone deaf calling the Title. Why?!
The pivotal months for us will be Feb and April, and the reality is that we haven’t strengthened and supposedly backed financially. It was the same last year and do our owners think we can win Major trophies without needing to invest?!
Jota seemingly out again! Darwin will never be as clinical so we are relying on 1-2-to 3 to come up with the goods.
Tough tough game and we need to park the game in hand to one side and focus on the game in front of us. Brentford really are credible and good to watch and worthy of their Premier League Status.
I shall like many Pool fans be over the moon if we get over the line come 4:55 π

18th January 2025 at 2:33 pm #217412Went against my better judgement thinking this will be Newcastle’s 10 successive win. No wonder the League Leaders have struggled when we are seeing this unfold.
Nothing is a Given; This Is The Premier League!!!

18th January 2025 at 6:45 pm #217421Always thought Nunez was more effective as an impact player coming on later in a game.

You’re 6 points clear with a game in hand… I would say the whole chuffing season “has gone Liverpool’s way”, let alone one Saturday in Jan!! Ungrateful bugger, aren’t you? π
Don’t worry, Buffy, despite choking, things must have been going your way for the other 21 weeks of the season… π
Certainly not going my way…

19th January 2025 at 10:00 am #217425Ah Chucks π I was alluding to a few things mate like preferring us guys playing on Saturday π My fave is the 3pm and 5:30 kick offs. Winning of course and with the challengers dropping points which is always a bonus.
Forest should comfortably win today. I was reading off the BBC and one thing’s for sure, if Arsenal held on to their lead and won last night, the narrative would have been painted differently.
I am ultra grateful Chucks. I said in my morning post y’day I’d be over the moon. We have the bit between our teeth against teams who play openly but I believe we will struggle at Everton which probably will be our toughest game.
