Should be a good game this afternoon both Spurs and United like to attack but Spurs bar DDG have the most reliable defence. Spurs win or a draw imo and hopefully a few goals.?
May the best team win ant the game be free of controversy.

13th January 2019 at 3:15 pm #31263Have faith, Adlab, Wolves are a good side and don’t concede many goals. We may have to be patient and 0-0 at HT wouldn’t surprise me. However, with no injury concerns, apart from Mendy, we should be too strong for them over the 90 and I’m going 2-0 City.
Must say I was quite impressed with Liverpool yesterday. I felt it was a game they could have dropped points but once they got the goal they controlled the game through to the end and didn’t look in any danger of relinquishing their lead – it’s exactly what they needed to do after two losses. It’s what prospective champions have to do.
Still a long way to go though.

13th January 2019 at 5:17 pm #31265Brilliant through ball – every Striker’s dream to have that on the plate. The move rounded off with a first class finish.

13th January 2019 at 5:24 pm #31266Spurs have had a lot of the ball but not done a lot with it in the final third.
Good goal but poor defending but that happens. Still going for 1-1._____________________________

13th January 2019 at 5:28 pm #31267Agree Sean. Spurs have had lots of possession, but Utd have looked the more dangerous side. Spurs are a very good side and there’s a lot of hard work there, but they seem to lack a je ne sais quoi in the bigger games.

13th January 2019 at 5:34 pm #31268Having a good laugh in our house about Gary Neville’s, very much, ott comments about United – “absolutely brilliant first half from United” is just one example. I assume he’s comparing it to their performances of a couple of months ago – decent but “absolutely brilliant” it was NOT.
Did he not see the Spurs Chelsea game in midweek?_____________________________

13th January 2019 at 6:11 pm #31270Giblues, utd were so poor at times under nose that this performance is actually brilliant compared to previous.
Good fast attacking play with pogba given the freedom to push on
Spurs have missed to many chances.

13th January 2019 at 6:31 pm #31272Huge win that and fully deserved. Wasn’t expecting that. We couldn’t have moaned if it had ended as a draw but DDG showing once again why he’s the best around. Agree Sean, in relative terms this is absolutely brilliant from Utd. Nobody can accuse G Nev of bias. He’s an incredibly fair pundit and if anything is harsher on Utd than anyone, as Carragher is with Pool. Commiserations to the Spurs lads on here

13th January 2019 at 6:37 pm #31274Yes Sean, that’s the point I was making, he must have been comparing to life under Jose.
Overall, it was a good watch and on another day Spurs could easily have run out comfortable winners. They had lots of chances, most on target but all straight at de Gea or within comfortable range. Having said that, the stop from Alderweireld, the speed at which he adjusted his feet was astounding – slomo didn’t do it justice._____________________________

13th January 2019 at 6:41 pm #31277Keeper played a massive part in the second half, but there’s a lot more belief and confidence with this United side under Solksjaer. They’re playing with more freedom and there’s more of a direct approach.
Only 6 points behind a top 4 Spot so all to play for.
