Shows how good Chelsea squad is that they have about 6 choices to play in the two positions behind lackau. Who are the two best to play their in Chelsea fans view?
Really like the look of sarr. Tough and very good on the ball.

16th January 2022 at 9:28 am #193555Fear for Liverpool now. Seem to always find jan and feb difficult. One win in 6 and lack of options up top. Think we will struggle today

16th January 2022 at 10:08 am #193557Don’t be silly Sean. I’m sure you will have enough to win today. 2 or 3 nil easily.
But the difference Salah makes is phenomenal and for Liverpool fans must be a worry.Don’t worry you’ll win

16th January 2022 at 10:20 am #193558By the way one point I should make given how critical I normally am of referees, I thought yesterday’s referee had a good game and did not make any key Oliver style mistakes.

16th January 2022 at 10:25 am #193559Just been reading about the postponed Spurs/Arsenal game. Arsenal have only one covid case apparently. So why postponed? We had 7 out last week with Covid and we played.
Can anybody explain why this game is postponed. Players being at Afcon isn’t a reason nor injuries._____________________________

16th January 2022 at 10:31 am #193560Adlab, within the reasons for the game being postponed the PL cited Covid, injuries and AFCON.

2024
France striker Anthony Martial has rejected interim Manchester United boss Ralf Rangnick’s claim that he refused to be in the squad to play Aston Villa.United let a two-goal lead slip as they drew 2-2 in the Premier League game at Villa Park on Saturday.
Martial has already told Rangnick he wants to leave United this month and Sevilla are keen to sign him.
“I will never refuse to play a match for Man Utd,” said the 26-year-old forward in a social media post.
“I’ve been here for seven years and I never disrespected and will never disrespect the club and the fans.”

16th January 2022 at 10:53 am #193564Sean, we can’t do anything about the ‘spilt milk’ mate re City’s points or our injuries etc. All we can focus on is trying to win each game as they come along and build a momentum. If Salah and Mane aren’t present, then that’s down to the other players to step up and own it.
What we could find by winning both our games in hand is narrowing the points lead. All we can do is keep applying pressure.
We’re actually in a good position to do so and a lot better than other teams. Hopefully Jota etc bring their shooting boots today and fire us a nice win and 3 points – give us guys something to be happy and cheerful about going into next Thursday which in itself is a big game for us.

16th January 2022 at 12:23 pm #193569Picking up on a comment somebody made elsewhere which I thought was valid and has been the difference and epitomizes the ‘Granite‘ in Manchester City under Pep; they have been relentless in their press and they simply don’t give in. In fact to some extent they do remind of Man United in the late 90s and 00s.
Either both Liverpool and Chelsea haven’t taken their chances or simply haven’t trusted in their own faith, confidence and ability to be bold and brave and attack Man City.

16th January 2022 at 12:27 pm #193570There is now distance I see in Matches played and not played by teams. E.g. Burnley have 5 games in hand over Man City.
Very unfortunate of the postponements. It’s looking a tall order trying to reconcile everyone to sync. It’s a little unsettling. I’m wondering too whether there’s a slight unfair advantage with those that have been able to play more matches than others; it just sort of put psychological pressure on those needing points – e.g. needing to stay up or fighting for European places.

16th January 2022 at 12:28 pm #193571Nil, even if Liverpool win their 2 games in hand they will still be 8 points behind City and City have only dropped 8 points in 22 games it’s not impossible but it is unlikely that they will drop 8 points in their last 16 games and even if they did they would finish on 96 points and it would require Liverpool to win all their remaining games to achieve 96 points and then it would be down to goal difference which currently vastly favours City.
Liverpool wont give up but it’s a hell of a task against a team as good as City probably “Mission Impossible”.

16th January 2022 at 2:51 pm #193580It’s been nervy. Brentford have had their moments. It really doesn’t help though with the late flag ruling for offside in spite of Linesmen being conscientious (testament to them).
