Not too worried if we drop a point or even 3 today we have a good cushion for now, Chelsea nearly always turn up against the big teams so it’s an open game. The Spurs/Arsenal must go ahead, they have no excuse as covid is the only reason a game can be postponed and they don’t have enough cases of covid.

15th January 2022 at 11:13 am #193441A draw will be fine for us today.
Waiting to see what team we can put out given more covid.Arsenal say they don’t have enough players. Fair enough. But I still can’t quite work out how some clubs are completely free given how rampant this virus is. No accusations or innuendo but genuinely interested to know. There is no difference in player approach or covid protocol from club to club. Or is it just luck?

15th January 2022 at 12:03 pm #193442Can’t believe Mount is not starting, with Lukaku and Ziyech upfront expect plenty of offsides

15th January 2022 at 12:18 pm #193443Solid line up from City. My only slight surprise is Stones. Walker back.
Chelsea have managed to put together a 11. No Jorginho, but there’s Pulisic. Ziyech needs to step up today and link up with Lukaku. Kante in, but again, I would have opted for Jorginho. Alonso and Azpi are solid and reliable and need to really stick to glue on Sterling and Foden. They are menaces.
Right, time to get going and see you all in the evening. Taking the Radio with me.
Have fun and let’s truly hope the Ref or VAR doesn’t spoil it π

15th January 2022 at 12:27 pm #193444Don’t think Dias is fully fit.
After all the hype two pretty strong teams._____________________________

15th January 2022 at 12:49 pm #19344717 minutes not much happening. Quite predictable so far. Lots of passing Chelsea looking to catch us on the break which they look capable of. Neither keeper been tested yet.

15th January 2022 at 1:13 pm #193448As Eric Morecambe used to say “what do you think of it so far”.
So often these games fail to live up to the pre-match hype.
42 minutes gone. D.on’t think we have had a shot. Not sure they have either. KDB not really in the game ditto Grealish, who just missed the best chance of the match albeit an offside._____________________________

15th January 2022 at 1:17 pm #193449Spot on YB given that Spurs haven’t won a League title since 1961 haven’t won a European trophy since 1984 and haven’t won an FA Cup since 1991 using the arrival of Abramovich is just a convenient excuse for the inadequacies of Spurs as a Club.
Whist in the last 5 years Leicester City have won both the PL and the FA Cup.π

15th January 2022 at 1:19 pm #193450Was Grealish offside for that chance?donβt think he was? Great save. Has to be taking it as city wonβt get many chances like that againest such a strong defence. Used to love watching Grealish. Now heβs not the main man and has been very disappointing so far this season but he will come good under city.
Need city to score so Chelsea come out. Chelsea are much better on the ball then what we are seeing. Still, very difficult to keep the ball v city or even get the ball.
Bit of a boring game.

15th January 2022 at 1:37 pm #193454Eh, which clubs have been free from Covid adlab? Not that I’ve been counting but I’m sure they’ve all suffered with it at various times over the last few weeks? Hence all the games in hand for loads of teams.

15th January 2022 at 1:40 pm #193456Can’t understand why Tuchel does not bring on Mount or Harvetz, Ziyech is a total waste.

15th January 2022 at 1:43 pm #193457To say Grealish is the PL record signing, he doesn’t half get an easy ride from pundits and the press IMO. Good player but was he the player City needed?

15th January 2022 at 1:44 pm #193459There’s been more action in the first five minutes than the whole of the first half.
KDB along way from his best so far and Sterling needs to stop diving._____________________________
