Two points dropped I think. Is Tuchal the tactical genius the press make out or is it too early to say?
On the whole a fair result._____________________________

18th January 2022 at 10:02 pm #193634Sean, they are good to watch. Good players, attitude and energy. Potter really has laid the foundations.

18th January 2022 at 10:07 pm #193635Nothing to say terrible all round. We don’t deserve our current league position.

18th January 2022 at 10:43 pm #193636I think Chelsea are probably out of it.
Abramovic won’t be pleased.
But there is still plenty of silverware to play for._____________________________

19th January 2022 at 6:34 am #193638Adlab, you complain about the echo publishing poor quality excessivly-pro Liverpool articles. No not at all interesting, just more mind numbingly boring rubbish trying to justify City’s obscene spending.

19th January 2022 at 10:24 pm #193642Good win in the end for Utd at a tough ground. Spurs still racking up the points too. Could be a really interesting battle for those top 4 spots.

19th January 2022 at 11:42 pm #193643Spurs certainly have a set of games in hand racked up.

20th January 2022 at 7:56 am #193644Ultimately a decent performance by United v Brentford but it could have turned out very differently but for yet another good display by De Gea in the first half.
Big 3 points for Spurs with that late turn around who are now well in the mix for a top 4 place.

20th January 2022 at 8:37 am #193645Yeah 2 very different halves of football Nine. It’s clear Rangnick is still finding the best way to get the most out of the team. Whatever he said at half time clearly worked though which is always a good sign. Could and probably should have been 4 when Fernandes tried a silly chip when clean through.

20th January 2022 at 10:58 am #193646Indeed Ed. Just have been a good ht team talk by Rangnick.
United’s problem is if Rangnick delivers CL football as well he might they will be in a bit of an Ole situation and they won’t know whether to stick or twist.
I still think Poch is United’s best option from next season if they can get him CL qualification or not.

20th January 2022 at 11:33 am #193647Utd should have been a few down at hand time. Iβve never seen a team play so bad and get results over the last few years. They were dreadful 1st half but 3 excellent goals in the 2nd half . Thatβs a great win at a very tough place
Ragnick seems a calm bloke. Good management talking to Ronaldo after rashfird scored who replaced him. Sub that worked out well. Other managers would have had maguire straight back in so again shows a bit of balls. Media fling overboard about to ronaldo sub. Salah does it most weeks if taken off
That was done win for spurs. Ten unbeaten now for conte with an absolutely piss poor team. Excellent progress so far

20th January 2022 at 12:08 pm #193649Couldn’t agree more about Ronaldo Sean. Media storm as usual. Yeah there have been a few promising halves but we’ve been pretty poor since he came in overall, which is exactly what I expected would happen. Anyone thinking things were going to change overnight with such a massive change in style mid-season was kidding themselves. Lots of tactics/formations have been played with which is never ideal mid-season either.
Unitedβs problem is if Rangnick delivers CL football as well he might they will be in a bit of an Ole situation and they wonβt know whether to stick or twist.
If he got CL football Nine (which I don’t for a minute think he will now), then he may well deserve a run. I’d have no problem with that.

Conte has done a good job for sure. He needs to go to Chelsea though in the next game and actually turn up. They were poor against an out of form Chelsea in both semi finals.

20th January 2022 at 12:23 pm #193650Top 4 odds:
Chelsea 1/16
Spurs 3/2
Arsenal 9/4
Man Utd 15/8
West Ham 9/1Looking very difficult now for Utd the way we’re playing. Chelsea should be nailed on but if Spurs somehow won on Sunday they’d be 5 behind with 12 points still available in games in hand over Chelsea. Hard to rule them out for 3rd. Chelsea still should be fine for at least 4th (probably 3rd) as the chasing pack are mostly bottlers anyway. Arsenal massive bottlers. Rangnick still unsure how to get Utd playing well for 90mins and West Ham don’t have the squad, as impressivew as they’ve been.

20th January 2022 at 1:04 pm #193651Ed. If I was a United fan I think I might be happy to sacrifice CL football to get Poch.π

20th January 2022 at 2:25 pm #193652I wouldn’t sacrifice CL football to get Poch tbh. I’d happily sacrifice CL football if it meant a few of the big, high earning egos left and allowed us to rebuild but I wouldn’t just for Poch.

20th January 2022 at 6:16 pm #193655No doubt who United player of the season so far imo. De Gea. Once again he saved them. It’s nearly every game. Back to his best.
