Sean – don’t let him put you off pal. Just do what I do and don’t bother reading his posts in the first place. You know exactly what he is going to say without the need to read it.
You’ll be sorely missed if you don’t reconsider.

30th December 2018 at 7:36 pm #30483Touchy!
Honest comments watching the match. Not a bitter blue.
1. Who thought Bournemouth should have had a penalty?
2. Who thought Lukaku was offside? Why is that wrong? Come on be honest. Also after years and years of derogatory comments whats wrong with ones view of what happened.

30th December 2018 at 7:57 pm #30486Sean, whilst I get where you’re coming but I’ve heard you regularly give out advice about grown men falling out about football and then leaving the site over it being ridiculous.
Also you’re too nice a bloke and too decent a poster and you would be sorely missed by all!
Have a Cup of tea and a Kit Kat and put it all behind you, you’re much to valuable to the site to lose and the site would be a lesser place without you. Cheers 999

30th December 2018 at 8:01 pm #30487I think if you put Liverpool to one side, there’s not a great deal in it between the other teams. As far as the history of the PL goes, I think only 1 team (this I think was Blackburn) won it losing 7 matches.
City this time last year were where we are now. One could argue they’re a victim of their own success because of the standards they themselves raised.
I believe we were the first team that inflicted them with defeat at Anfield almost a year ago. They could do exactly the same to us, but we’d still be 4 points ahead of them in poll position and would break off into the FA Cup.
I think the lads are better wired mentally, and I’m sure they’re levelled-headed too and in acceptance. As we’ve seen from set backs re EFL Cup and losing games in the Champions League, they not let a bad run go on for too long and back on the Sadal.

Adlab no word on Southamptons stonewall pen not given today lol
More luck for city when the game was at 1-1
To be honest, I’m to blame myself. No
Point in getting wound up by some people as they aren’t really objective but there’s people like that on all sites_____________________________

30th December 2018 at 8:30 pm #30491Confidence is a strange thing and it can come and go very quickly.
If City don’t win the game at the Etihad even if they get a draw then it’s all over imo if they do win that game if puts some pressure back on Liverpool.
Teams have won the PL previously with big leads and teams have seen big leads eroded and lost the PL title too so it’s difficult to firmly predict the outcome but right now Liverpool are justifiably odds on favourites and it’s theirs to lose.
Personally I hope City get back into the race because the PL deserves a proper title race and I would prefer it to go right until the end of the season but that’s easy to say when you’re neither a City or Liverpool fan.?

30th December 2018 at 8:41 pm #30493Sean I think a couple of c$ty lads expected them to go through the season pretty comfortably & win the title. Now they are being made work for it & there’s a bit of pressure they are getting up tight & are reacting like they are (as I said a couple so BB & others not pointed at you guys). Being honest they should win the title every season, they’ve spent way more than everyone else over a number of seasons & finally got the manager to get them as hot favorites every season. We had to buy the world highest fee for a defender & I think keeper as well just to try keep up & we are still way behind in quality in depth. Injuries have cruelled c$ty but they have players coming back & to be honest I still think they will win the EPL with games to spare, they will bridge the gap in a couple of days & will go on a long winning streak. I bet they don’t worry about bagging everyone when that happens.

30th December 2018 at 8:43 pm #304949 all over even if they draw, bollocks mate. Half a season has gone & nothing was won at the half way point. As I said previously I still think c$ty will win it with games to spare. Players coming back from injury & they will go on a massive winning streak & win it. Liverpool will have a slump, we always do. Watch this space, c$ty will win it again.

30th December 2018 at 8:47 pm #30495Oh we had some good fortune for sure today Adlab. But that’s not the point. You only ever have a go when Utd and Liverpool have good fortune. Never a word when decisions go against us. City were awarded the worst pen decision ever when Sterling kicked the ground earlier this season. That was worse than any decision Utd or Liverpool have had for us!

30th December 2018 at 8:51 pm #30496Aussie, I think City will win the league aswell
I just can’t see us being able to keep this up for another 5 months.
7 points is nothing and could be 4 come Thursday night

30th December 2018 at 8:54 pm #30497Huge game now on Thursday. Very tough to call. Personally, I think City will win it and be right back in the race for the title. But you just can’t write Liverpool off. Massive motivation for them to go for the win and put some real distance between the sides.

30th December 2018 at 9:03 pm #30498Oz, you’re probably right mate and I’ve contradicted myself in my own post anyway.?
Even if Liverpool were to win at the Etihad it’s not completely over but it would be very difficult to pull back 10 points if Liverpool won as I can’t see Liverpool losing many games between now and the end of the season and they would have to lose 3/4 games in that situation after the City game and I really can’t see that happening tbh.
It would be squeaky bum time if City closed the gap though especially as Liverpool have been there before but some times it’s written in the stars and I’ve got a feeling that’s the way it may be.?
I think the Ed may be right and City could close the gap on Thursday but we’ll see. Cheers 999

30th December 2018 at 9:08 pm #30500Our front 3 have grown in stature of late and very much back to their best. I’d be surprised if neither of those get on the scoresheet this Thursday. Ideally, a win would be nice. I’m sure a couple of wobbly results might be around the corner and City have to play the same teams as us as far as Spurs, Chelsea and United go, albeit Arsenal.
Nothing is sewn up at all even if City were to win this Thursday. And because of previous history and not winning it for 28 years, there’s been capitulation rather than getting over the finishing line.
Fortunately up to now, we’ve been blessed with luck and not having as many injuries. Maybe the Ox could return soon. I’m hoping Klopp will allow other players outside the first 11 to get some minutes like Sturridge, Origi and Lallana and in return is boosted with confidence that he has depth to see the season through with success.

30th December 2018 at 9:28 pm #30503I’ve always thought City are beatable as I think they lack strong leadership, but because of their squad and and the weakness of the PL, they will still easily mop up many of the lesser sides. Liverpool have a big opportunity, but they obviously still can’t afford to lose many games.
