Yeah I’m struggling for obvious replacements for Poch at Spurs. Still think he’ll end up at Real, Poch. Howe could be hard to prize away from there. He seems happy enough. Whatever happened to Tim Sherwood? Did he stay in management? Never hear of him anymore…

29th December 2018 at 6:56 pm #30354Mikus, more famously first words mate.? Looks like they may be true though this season.
City’s next two games will tell us whether they are capable of coming again and challenging Liverpool I hope so from a neutrals viewpoint we don’t want to see another procession even though quite understandably you guys might.

29th December 2018 at 6:56 pm #30355Eddy… Maureen will only go to chequebook clubs, and us Spuds ain’t one of those, there’s more chance of me turning out to be NIL and fooled the lot of you for months than that Arsenal showing up at White Hart Lane… he’ll show up at PSG next I reckon, about the only place left…
Where is NIL?

29th December 2018 at 7:01 pm #30359Mourinho might see Spurs as a challenge with a bit of manoeuvring in the transfer market both in and out Levy went for him previously.

29th December 2018 at 7:03 pm #30360Oliver has become a shocking referee. Penalty decisions are beyond. He just courts popularity.
Another dreadful refereeing performance. WHERE IS VAR!?
What with the diver in chief…….,! To me it takes away from the performance.
Arse are awful but the assistance that Liverpol have been given …words fail._____________________________

29th December 2018 at 7:09 pm #30363Yeah Poch has spent twice as much at Spurs as Jose did at Inter so it’s not out of the question that he’d find them an attractive proposition. They don’t need money splashing on that side anyway. They need some mental strength.

29th December 2018 at 7:10 pm #30364Adlab, there’s no VAR until next season mate and would it have ruled both penalties out perhaps the first but probably not the second and neither were defining in this game anyway.

29th December 2018 at 7:26 pm #30365Fabulous performance and everybody all pulling together including the supporters. Robertson first class, the trio all getting on the scoresheet, and mentions of course to Van Dijk, Fabinho and Allison who are our key components to this well oiled machine

29th December 2018 at 7:36 pm #30366Had a read of the thread to Oz and half of me agrees with where he is coming from. I am liking and thankful we have a Manager in Jurgen Klopp who is delivering measured press conferences that spell ‘feet to the ground’.
I truly don’t believe the way the league is now 10 points is some sort of a getaway. The reason why I say this is because had Spurs won today and we’d lost, then our lead would have only been 3 points.
So this is what is capable of happening.
Also from experience, Liverpool have been in this position before but couldn’t get over the finishing line, so it’s understandable for Supporters to be cautious.
I didn’t think Wolves would get a draw let alone anything else and Spurs were in my accumulator today, so it just goes to show there are no guarantees or givens.
Man City away in the New Year won’t be easy and we have to be prepared.
I do agree with Jose that Liverpool have had luck and in fairness, we’ve had the rub of the green in the way results have panned out for us – maybe a ‘helping hand’ like this is essential.
For now, it’s enjoying the journey, but it’s another box ticked, and another one to prepare for.
π Seasons Greetings one and all

29th December 2018 at 7:49 pm #30367Fabinho reminds me a bit of Fernandino though is even better when supported by Keita.
With these new editions, Vijnaldum to me has grown in his own game and has become more aggressive which you need week to week.
The Midfield is the fulcrum, but you can’t underestimate duties of the full-backs; pace and discipline. Not to mention being able to consistently offer the front 3 another dimension.
Benjamin Mendy is missed by Man City, and we are wholeheartedly thankful in Van Dijk being fit and resilient. He genuinely serves leadership which Liverpool in previous years have lacked and Henderson truth be told, doesn’t possess in him as a given trait.
I love Shaquiri π Just somebody free and happy enjoying his football.
I don’t know going forward whether Jurgen Klopp has the thought of bringing in a new face to freshen things up or to just add a bit more steel.

29th December 2018 at 7:55 pm #30369AnonymousI’ll catch up on the thread later on, gonna get a few games of Rocket League in after that amazing high. Well, I say amazing high but it became kinda pedestrian quickly enough.
Look, I don’t wanna say much more than how brilliant it is in terms of a performance and especially with the City game on the 3rd… I don’t want to get ahead of myself but you guys could forgive us for believing now right?
Welcome back Nil man, I hope you enjoyed that. Will read back and reply later on π
cant wait for the City game tomorrow now.

29th December 2018 at 8:06 pm #30374Anonymous“9 points ahead of Spurs and 10 points ahead of City surely it has to be Liverpoolβs year.”
As Mikus said but I will say that it feels like a dream right now. I refuse to do more than dream though, until we play City. It is then that we have the potential to warrant serious discussion on the matter. There are just too many games left to be calling anything but if we do win, it’s a 6 pointer and would be a lot more weight cast on City. Don’t forget that this is away from home against a side who will most likely be on the back end of a bad patch. I’m taking nothing for granted. We’re not invincible! We will lose at some stage.

29th December 2018 at 8:06 pm #30375Is it just me or could that game finish handball score, like 25-10? The thing with this Liverpool side is the fact that they seem to be able create chances/score goals every time they go forward!
Welcome back Nil,hope you stay on the straight and narrow this time, good to have you bck fella.

Yeah, really happy mate so far – bit more depth and steel added to the squad and it seems everyone is playing and looking after each other.
Cheers mate and great to be back.
