31st December 2021 at 10:09 am #192454π but you’ve always maintained it’s not possibly true unless you read the quotes. Which Ronaldo stories are you referring to? He can do one if he’s not happy. Wouldn’t want to keep someone at the club who doesn’t want to be there (looking at you Kane). I’ve just not seen anything reliable to indicate that’s the case.

31st December 2021 at 11:14 am #192457Tough game tomorrow against an in form Arsenal. Right now given the league points I would happily take one point as Chelsea play Liverpool this week.

31st December 2021 at 11:58 am #192459Arsenal will collapse against City Adlab. They’re flat track bullies. Making gradual progress but they’ve no bottle in the big games at all.

31st December 2021 at 12:12 pm #192460Ye totally agree Ed. Letβs see what Arsenal are made of tomorrow. Can see them rolling over as usual to a big side

31st December 2021 at 12:17 pm #192461Adlab maguire has been atrocious this year. Iβve never rated him from day one. No idea how Neville was bigging him up in his first two seasons as utd were still conceding loads of goals and he was making loads of mistakes but getting away with some of it

31st December 2021 at 12:22 pm #192462He’s been poor since the summer Sean, no getting away from it. He was brilliant at the Euros though, as was Shaw. Both arguably the best in the tournament in their position.
Both have been quite poor since the summer. I know you’ve never rated him but he’s been very good at times since he came in, until this season at least. I realise you don’t see him every week though.

31st December 2021 at 12:31 pm #192463Problem we have with Maguire though is that the alternatives are all incredibly dodgy too. Varane aside, who himself has had a lot of injury problems anyway, Lindelof and Bailly are riddled with mistakes. We can’t do what City can do and just keep buying new defenders until we get it right. We have to persevere with him. We have too many other weak areas in the squad.

31st December 2021 at 1:15 pm #192464Van Bassika v Walker …both purchased
Stones/Diaz/Laporte/Ake v Lindelof/Maguire/Bailly/Varane. ….all purchased
Cancelo/Mendy v Shaw/Telles,…..all purchased.Ed. Could I suggest Utd have also bought defenders. Maybe they are just lacking or not as well coached.
PS Hope you had a good Christmas!

31st December 2021 at 1:22 pm #192466Southampton v Newcastle postponed due to Covid. Klopp confirms 3 new Covid cases in the squad.
I’m hoping that’s Mane, Salah and Jota.π

31st December 2021 at 1:23 pm #192467Adlab, City are the only side who can have several Β£50mil players as backup. Walker 50mil, Mendy 50mil, Laporte 60mil, Ake 40mil. All just in reserve and can be rotated. Utd have Telles 12mil, Dalot 20mil, Lindelof 30mil. Massive difference. We can afford to pay a lot of money, much more than most other teams but City can afford to make mistakes in the transfer market. No other side can do that like them.

31st December 2021 at 1:29 pm #192470I wonder how many more postponements.
Too many and it will distort the competition. Some teams may end up with three games a week.
Judging from speaking to people in London you get the feeling that every other person has it and largely spread by the kids._____________________________

31st December 2021 at 1:55 pm #192473So a ‘must win’ game for Liverpool on Sunday. It’s a Cup Final without the opportunity to win a trophy. I’ve a feeling though that City will end up winning the league by 10-15 points, and it is frightening to think that in all likelihood they’ll have Haaland next season. I’ll take Mbappe and Bellingham then!! Joking aside though, there are still things to play for this season. Champions League is definitely still up for grabs, and I actaully fancy our chances in that if we have a little luck and stay free from injuries, so my New Year predictions are…
EPL – Man City
Champions League – Liverpool
Carabao – Chelsea
FA Cup – Man City
Rest of top 4 – Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal
Relegated – Norwich, Newcastle and Watford
Player of the Year – SalahAnyway, Happy New Year to all on here, and I’ll leave you with my Dad joke of 2021
My New Year’s resolution is to give up aerosol deodorants as they are bad for the environment, so roll on 2022!

31st December 2021 at 2:02 pm #192474It sure who is sick going into the Chelsea game? Thiago is injured again. Origi and minamino injured aswell so I think we are rightly fooked for not just tomorrow but the whole of jan with covid, injuries and Salah, mane and Keita missing
Canβt see us doing much this month at all.
