The one thing I must say from the impressions I’ve gotten over time is that I just don’t think Klopp takes any real sentimental value to the FA and the League Cups. We haven’t won any under him. It’s his attitude that to me seems these are more obstacles than actual domestic trophies that count towards the clubs over achievements.

Am I right in thinking that last year Arsenal had to play a young team in one of the cups. Was it v Liverpool..can’t remember. No doubt if it was there will be moans.

It may serve us well in the short term Adlab, but we still have to play the matches and there’s no guarantee of a compliment of squad to choose from. Circumstances you can’t help. It does feel a little of kicking the can down the road…..

Yeah I get that Nil. I suppose playing the 2nd leg at home arguably favours Arsenal as they will know what they have to do.
The game was righfully postponed imo 1st leg now on the 13/01 2nd leg on the 20/01.

I see Villa tweeted (so that would be Wellard Gerrard’s mob!), about their team they were forced to put out last year against LiVARberoOol, daring to suggest if they were made to play with the kids, then so should everybody else… π π

And, of course, Leyton Orient has just pointed out that they got kicked out of the comp for not being able to field a team earlier in the comp due to “COVID”… which, and it would be hard to disagree with, is another “one rule for one, one rule for others” type scenario…

The rule is that you have to play the game before the next round Orient couldn’t do that hence why they were omitted as these are the Semi Finals and the Final isn’t until February the games can be rescheduled before the next round which is the Final.

Chucky, it isnt just about the kids. Liverpools entire backroom staff has it, including the guy who was standing in for Klopp. You need to have someone there to be on the sidelines.
Asa for Villa getting shafted, how does that make it right to then shaft us? covid is absolutely tearing through the liverpool squad and staff. They’ve shut all trainign facilities.
Obviously Liverpool cant play on and as for the salah conspiracies… come on now, dont be american about it.

We had to play kids in 2019 as we were in the world club championships

Thought Chelsea were good last night but Spurs very disappointing, they hardly had a shot. Spurs midfield seemed to me to be overrun for most of the game.

Adlab, I have a PCR test for this afternoon which I had to book as advised during my meeting with the GP yesterday. The variant is spreading and people are getting covid. Lot of touchy people out there too, uneducated and quick to jump the gun.
There will be absence – can’t be helped just like yesterday when Liverpool had to close their entire training ground.
