I’m clearly daft getting the Palace prediction wrong lol. Had Eze too in my team. Doh!

24th August 2024 at 4:37 pm #215380Game over here, 3rd for Spuds (Cuti from a corner), loads of subs, getting sloppy from both sides…

24th August 2024 at 4:40 pm #215381United were terrible and only performed well for 20% of the game.
Brighton easily cut through at times and Welbeck hit the bar, with Milner having a chance cleared off the line. At the end only one side showed a winning mentality and were pushing for a winner.
It is the same shit for the last 10 years regardless who the manager is. Too many average players and no leaders. Unlucky with the offside goals, but I cannot remember United testing and creating many chances.
Everything just looks disjointed.

24th August 2024 at 4:43 pm #215382Right now, I think ETH biggest “mistake” is trying to play both Mount and Bruno in the same side… they both get in each others way or forced to play an unnatural game… and feels like the rest of the team is a player short…

24th August 2024 at 4:47 pm #215383I thought Mount did well. So did Bruno. Amad was ok. Rashford was shit. Should have sold him when he asked for Β£350k a week on the back of 1 good season.

24th August 2024 at 4:49 pm #215384I don’t feel United should be too hard on themselves, but it was definitely a case of misfortune this afternoon. Brighton’s chances were more effortless. United seem to put in more groundwork.

24th August 2024 at 4:50 pm #215385Neither had bad games, but they detract from each others games and neither really like to track back/stick the boot in.. that’s why the midfield always looks so empty and overun… drop one and get another CM rather than a AM in there…

24th August 2024 at 4:57 pm #215386Bizarrely I was the saying the same when Ole was in charge and when Jose was in charge. It takes the opposition 3-4 successful passes to get in to the United half and threaten with a chance, whilst United are extremely slow with their build up, too afraid to take a risk and easy for the opposition to set up defensively. It has been going on for years.
In midfield we had Casemiro, Mainoo and Bruno/Mount. Mount/Bruno played as a false nine. What you’re suggesting Banjo is there, it is just the same story and this has been going on for years.

24th August 2024 at 7:37 pm #215388Villa missed some big chances and we held on
Not comfortable by any stretch but a good win away and a clean sheet will do nicely_____________________________

24th August 2024 at 8:35 pm #215389Class and Credit to the Gunners.
Another example however being all about taking your chances and this defines the outcome of the end result.
Watkins should finish his ‘laid on the plate for him’ chance in the first half and perhaps he was unlucky in the second, but it’s the fine margins.
Arsenal probably took confidence from that as the game wore on and believing they’re not going to let anything in at their end eventually found a way.
I’ve seen this with Jose’s past Chelsea teams and Fergie’s Man United teams.
This is how you ultimately win or at least stand in the run-in of Premier League Titles.

25th August 2024 at 7:47 am #215390Thats a great win stevo. Signs if a very goid team who didnt play well but won at a bery difficult ground.
Aresnal just keep clean sheets. So solid.
Stevo, would you take sterling? Martinelli the weak link for me, numbers no were near good enough. Trossard better there but a good sterling be excellent in there. I think his poor form is more to do with chelseas environment then him???

25th August 2024 at 9:26 am #215391Morning Sean
Yeah martinelli needs to improve his end product I think he gets picked as a favourite and for being the fastest in the squad apparently
Wouldnβt want sterling tho not at his age and price/wages β¦ he hasnβt been great for a couple of seasons itβs no sock he isnβt in the Chelsea team let alone all the crap they are doing on form not good enough
Love trossard tho needs more game time I think he is our best finisher_____________________________

25th August 2024 at 3:49 pm #215397Real crazy game yes it’s 6-2 but Wolves had 2 brilliant goals disallowed although they were just offside. Bournemouth 1 – Newcastle 1 final score probably only 2 minutes to go.
