Supporters DEMAND the highest though based on achievements, simple as and the same would apply to Man United no matter the argument of no god given right.

24th December 2017 at 3:45 pm #9814Thanks for the reply NB.Hope you boys have a good season.
Regarding Nine’s point above.I have to say I’m 100% in agreement
with him.I’m 43 next year, and have been watching City for over
40 off them.35 as a season ticket holder.I can safely say that I
don’t demand anything from the team I love and support.Except
they give their best during a game.As long as my family and friends
stay healthy and well.Is all that matters to me.Your putting your faith in eleven strangers kicking a pigs bladder
about πI’d be very suprised if anyone else makes the kind of demands/expectations
as you.But each to their own.All the best to everyone for the festive period & HNY

24th December 2017 at 4:00 pm #9820Chelsea.man, Iβm really not sure about vvd. People say itβs the system but for me, the issue is individual mistakes. Look at Arsenal mate. 3 mistakes. People switching off. Gomez knows Sanchez is behind him yet he doesnβt attack the ball. Mignonlet will always be the same.
We wonβt challenge for anything with him, Moreno, Klavan and Lovren playing the majority of games. If Klopp doesnβt replace them then itβs his fault
We have spent plenty on our attack. Better players make less mistakes. Lovren was excellent in his first 4 months st Southampton. He then fell apart. I certainly didnβt want us to sign him. Heβs a front foot defender. He attackβs everything and is never aware whatβs going on behind him. Heβs a liability and we need a huge upgrade on him.

24th December 2017 at 4:37 pm #9824PPT, You’re welcome.
What I was trying to make a point of earlier may have been slightly misconstrued.
I too am fully in line with what this from your good self:
“I can safely say that I
donβt demand anything from the team I love and support.Except
they give their best during a game.As long as my family and friends
stay healthy and well.Is all that matters to me.”Somebody on another thread made a comment about us relegated and that wouldn’t matter to me as I’d support them in the same way.
I just want the club to show ambition and aim high and like you give it their all week in week out. Surely there’s nothing wrong with that?
It seems as though I seem to clash with one or two on here because of having such a strong opinion about it and I take it pretty seriously. 2012 in my view is a long time in winning a trophy and it would be nice to win a few including the League Title as one of them.

24th December 2017 at 4:45 pm #9825Nil, the majority of supporters especially the match going fans just live in hope and know that there will be more failures than successes for their club the lucky ones live through a magical period but football is cyclical and nothing lasts forever bar the memories. Even United’s domination of the PL ended.
Nobody can “DEMAND” that their club compete for and win titles based on what they achieved 30, 40 or 50 years ago.
Chelsea have won 2 PL titles in the past three seasons and even as current Champions you can only hope for a title challenge or a future League title.
Chelsea didn’t win a League title for 50 years and I never dared to even dream of a League title yet Chelsea have won 5 League titles in 13 seasons and if it all ends there I will always be grateful for what I’ve seen us win.
There are fans of numerous clubs who just dream of playing in the CL and will never see their club’s win a major trophy let alone a League title which was why Leicester’s title win two seasons ago was so special.
What was achieved in the past means nothing now in the pursuit of future honours whether you be Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea or Preston North End!

24th December 2017 at 4:56 pm #9829I don’t know why people can’t just agree to disagree on here and why people try to change people’s mindset.
When I use a word like demand it gets taken out of context. Then I wonder is it just me. Those match going fans come on the radio and they place demands when things are not right. That’s why there are protestations for action to be taken.
Liverpool didn’t appoint Jurgen Klopp for just entertaining 4th place. They appoint him to win trophies.
Liverpool supporters I would imagine in majority want Liverpool to compete for the title and to try and win every game. That’s the expectation set by our own standards in what made us to be one of England’s most successful clubs – 5 European Cups.
I’ll leave this one Nine as I don’t want to fall out with you on anyone else on here unnecessarily. I don’t agree with your stance, you don’t agree with mine, let’s leave it at that shall we?

24th December 2017 at 5:08 pm #9830Nil, fair do’s mate but I don’t think it’s just me that gets confused by what you post in respect of expectations based on Liverpool’s previous history.
But hey ho, ho, ho, It’s Christmas so have a great one.???

I see your point here in relation to the full backs not being a title challenging standard. with Moreno i think his best position is wing back rather than an out and out full back like he is used at Liverpool. but the other lad, Robertson. i have seen a lot of potential in him. and in 2-3 seasons he will be one of the best full backs once he settles and gets used to playing for a club who is challenging for honors. you may need a right back, but nowadays its easier said than done. its difficult to get a premier league winning standard in those departments. and the ones that are there are already playing for top teams. for instance City has to pay more to get Walker from Spurs. and United will likely pay more to get Rose.
Other than that, yes VVD is a good CB but the system that Klopp uses doesn’t encourage players to defend. and he has to understand that without deploying an out and out defensive midfielder, your back four will always be exposed. also the Liverpool fullbacks always go higher up the pitch even when they are defending a lead. but i still think Liverpool need 2-3 players to win the league. and that also applies to the rest of the chasing pack. this season City are the league of their own. Liverpool’s attack are either joint best or the second best. they are deadly front four. Liverpool is heading in the right direction. and i won’t be surprised if they win the league in 2-3 years time.

24th December 2017 at 7:07 pm #9840Nil, good evening fella. It was me that mentioned the relegation thing in a previous thread. Not to wish relegation on Liverpool FC, just that at the time you seemed so down about a couple of poor results and I was trying to remind you that your life as football fan could be so much worse. Like nine sometimes I misunderstand your posts but clearly you are a passionate fan. If I annoyed you with that reminder I apologise, football is just that, a game and despite all that passion displayed by so many it is not the be all and end all. I am as guilty as you when it comes to defending the club I support and will clealry still rise to baiting despite best endeavours not to. Also apologies Beni for the swearing outburst yesterday i had had a few! So in essence best of wishes to you and your family Nil. By the way I have just had a sobering and very enjoyable 2hrs at my local sharing a few beers with a 91yr old fella and another mate. He is a big sports fan of cricket and football (stoke) with a clear and very accurate memory. He first drank in my pub 72 yrs ago! His wife sadly passed away 6 yrs ago. Life’s too short even if you live to your 90s. All the best to the the rest of the lads on here in this season of goodwill. Cheers Jim

24th December 2017 at 8:58 pm #9846Jim,
appreciate you giving my the time of the day. I’m just headstrong, but need to be relaxed time to time and take a bit of a back seat rather than jumping in with my size 8s and getting all defensive and worked up so quickly and easily.
Glad you’re in good spirits π Wish you and your family a happy and a peaceful Christmas.
Need some music π π

24th December 2017 at 9:07 pm #9847Shame Jim, we could have all met up and got wasted lolololololol
NB, I was exactly the same bro, defeats used to shut down my weekend and bad defeats used to really get to me. The amount of times Iβve been sent off on a Sunday because I was still grumpy. Iβve learnt to chill Winstan, think itβs why Iβm so balanced with Citys start, itβs not that I think we will go into meltdown and lose 5 or 6 games, itβs basicslly if we do win the league it will be great but if we donβt Iβve still got 93:20 and thereβs always next year.
Still nothing wrong with wanting the best from and for your team bro.
Happy Christmas guys, peace

24th December 2017 at 9:23 pm #9850Pagen,
Was gonna put on some Xmas music, but I’ve heard a few of them since Mid November hahaha.
Just going through some stuff from the 80s – now I do sound old and I’m younger than Paul Power’s Tash on here hahaha π
Midge Ure – If I was – 1985
Cliff Richard – We Don’t Talk anymore – this was actually 1979!
Just having a run through of as I want to have these ready for my Dad tomorrow – remind him of his heyday π
