Good game at the Etihad. Mahrez and KDB played well.
City though still so vulnerable to the counter attack and will be until they get Laporte back at Centre Back and Fernandinho back to his best position in front of the back 4.
Lovely goal by Vardy.

21st December 2019 at 10:32 pm #57181Truly glad on this occasion Leicester losing. Imagine and Question Mark????
These would have signed for Big For One’s Boots.
Liverpool have a Game In Hand. We’d be sure to put in a Good Account for ourselves come Thursday.

22nd December 2019 at 12:07 am #57182I’d be very surprised if they were City fans, Threeps. I don’t know one Blue who didn’t want us to win today. I’m 90% sure the title is going to Anfield this season but City will always have my support even when it’s mathematically impossible for us to win it.

22nd December 2019 at 7:38 am #57183What I would expect gj. Obviously I know a few on a forum (bluemoon) does not represent the fan base and this particular forum seems to attract the most unpleasant type but I was wondering if the feeling of resignation was common amongst fans. I hoped these were just isolated crazy opinions, thanks for confirming.
I could never contemplate wanting my team to lose to stop another team winning, no matter who it was. I cheered like normal when we beat Blackburn all those years ago. I’m sure most proper fans would feel the same.

22nd December 2019 at 12:00 pm #57210We are in a great spot & I’m more confident this season we could hang on & get the monkey off our backs but itβs still far from over. With the injuries piling up & city still very capable of winning all their remaining games Iβm not cutting the cake just yet. Add to that a massive game next up at Leicester & they arenβt out of it either.
Saying we are unstoppable & donβt know how to lose is crazy just half way through the season. Napoli know how to beat us & I fully expect us to lose a couple of games yet. Granted weβd have to lose a few but itβs by no means sealed yet._____________________________

22nd December 2019 at 12:26 pm #57216Our next 6 games looks the toughest, so yeah Oz, I see where you’re coming from.
We could drop points, but the other teams have already lost 3 and 4 matches.
The gap could shorten, but I can’t see us losing our place and be knocked off Top Spot.
By the time we have finished playing these matches, we’d have reached February and our fixture that month is quite relaxed. Man City and Leicester too have EFL Cup Semi’s to think about.
Part of our workload is finished now. We have the FA Cup, but Champions League doesn’t com into place till Feb.
As long as we keep racking up the wins and avoid any defeats in succession and drawing too many games, we should be over the line.

22nd December 2019 at 3:44 pm #57251Interesting team selection and tactics from Frank 3 at the back and wing backs with Alonso back in favour who is perhaps Chelsea’s best wing back.

22nd December 2019 at 3:52 pm #57253“Jose Mourinho cheekily asked Chelsea legend Ashley Cole for Blues team news ahead of the match between the London rivals on Sunday (4.30pm). However, Cole claims he rejected Mourinhoβs request. Cole was working as a pundit at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for Sky Sports on Sundayβs two Premier League matches.” Daily Express
Ha, ha he doesn’t change does he.?

22nd December 2019 at 4:00 pm #57254Unbiased as possible here.
I thought Utd were poor. They didnt seem to have real desire to win. Probably thought it was three points before they kicked off. De Gea…surprising mistake. For me its players who dont do enough for the manager week in week out. Raise their game v City but dont keep it up v bottom of the table Watford. For me thats down to motivation.

22nd December 2019 at 5:19 pm #572573 seconds of football, and about 47 minutes of nonsense…
Oh, wait a second… a new level of silly nonsense… is it game over? Is it taking too long… it’s certainly taking too long… I could write War & peace here… finally…
What the fook was Gazza thinking?? Why didn’t he catch it?? (Or was it a Spuds pass???) took so long I’ve forgotten…
Anyway, 2-0 and game over… what the fuck was Gazza thinking??
Well done, Puppy!!

22nd December 2019 at 5:33 pm #57258Jose totally outhought by FL, only one team in it, first to everything and fully deserved lead at HT.. When will drop Dier his love child, I just don’t get how our 3 creative players are on the bench while he plays 6 defenders and a wild keeper FFS.Anyway game over

22nd December 2019 at 6:23 pm #57261Adlab, spot on with that summary. I, for one, wasn’t fooled by the City and Spurs results, as nice as they were. I still don’t think Ole will be in the job come the end of the season. He certainly won’t be there next season.

22nd December 2019 at 6:24 pm #57262Chelsea surely doing enough now to nail down that 4th spot. Can no longer see any of the others catching up. Can change very quickly though

22nd December 2019 at 6:34 pm #57263Brilliant tactically from Frank brilliant performance from the team and how good was young Mount and Willian.
In the top 4 at Christmas and in the last 16 of the CL too.
Chelsea fans didn’t dare think that in the Summer a couple of really good signings in January could set us up nicely.
