I’m encouraged above all because we’ve not our focus and our ability to press and create goalscoring opportunities. Sure we’ve had our scares but Alisson has actually kept us in it. Our positional choice is the let down not our ability to defend.

The most important attribute a manager can give to a team is to get them up for the fight. Get in peopleβs faces, be aggressive. Gerrard has done that at Villa. Looks like Conte is doing it at Spurs too. No matter what the type of football played, being aggressive always gives you a chance. Liverpool were all over Spurs at times there but only takes a quick break to potentially undo us.
