Nine, they will but only to a point. They have ramped up the charges on Jose before, only for him to carry on regardless and things were forgotten again. This is talking about a nearly weekly situation for him, during his bad times. The guy has snowballed in his meltdowns throughout his various clubs. You want to talk about Klopp, well you should also admit that he’s not even close to being comparable to the “special” one.

Mak, I don’t think I know I was over the speed limit but the bloke next door has been charged with being over the spped limit more times than me and he’s jumped red lights too counts as a defence. 🙂

Well, that might apply if we were talking about a defence. We’re not though, we’re talking about the direct comparison between 2 individuals that Alfie made. How many times have a stated that I’m not defending Klopp? A few. I’ve been incredibly clear that it is the comparison between the 2 that I’m interested in.

If you wanted to go this route though we could edit your scenario a little and say “I got some parking tickets and they gave me the same sentence as my nextdoor neighbor, who is a serial pedophile”.

Now , tell me, are those 2 people comparable? They both committed offenses. it isn’t about one guy trying to get away with his parking tickets because his nextdoor neighbor diddles kids, it’s about him not wanting to be lumped in with the special one on the left.

I did say yesterday quite early about Klopps – imo – histrionics. Its not the first time. Usually not on the pitch. I know you all wont agree but I think a lot of its for show and not just raw emotion. And I agree if it was Mourinho he would be slaughtered. The media are desperate for Liverpool to win something so they will come up with the usual excuses which Jose doesnt get and Im a City fan,

I think Pax hit the nail on the head – home fans don’t see a problem, other fans do. Frankly, who cares? All I know is that I prefer my manager to show some passion when my team score rather than Rodgers one arm up in the air or Rafa’s head down in to his notebook, and as long as he doesn’t go and do a little jig in front of the oppo fans or do the Shhh motion (a la Mourinho at Wembley), then I don’t have a problem.

Oh, Adlab, don’t start the old argument again, please!! (smiley face) The media are desperate for a close title race for obvious reasons and secondly, most people would prefer someone other than City, and to a lesser extent, Chelsea and United to win the league. Liverpool or Spurs winning the league, and even Arsenal, winning the league would make the Premiership more interesting for all, bar City fans, cos we haven’t done it for decades! I would think most neutrals, media or even just other club fans would feel the same

As for the actual game yesterday, I was well impressed with Everton and in particular, Andre Gomes.. Just how good was he? A draw would probably have been a fair result, but what the hell, it was just so funny. All the Evertonians were just starting to celebrate getting their point, and then ‘that’ happened.

Pax, earlier in this thread you said you expected Liverpool to get a last minute penalty. Just like to point out that Spurs got more penalties at Anfield last season than we did, and we haven’t had one in the league at home this year. In fact…

‘Since 2003, Liverpool have won only half of their penalties at Anfield. Meanwhile, every other club that has been in the Premier League in that period have won between sixty and seventy-five per-cent of their penalties at home.’

So Adlab and Pax, if the media do want Liverpool to win the league, can you tell the refs to play ball with that as well?
