That was a weird one, West Ham looked awful last weekend, surprised they even scored a goal away at Frank’s Young Boys, let alone kept a clean sheet. Reads like us Spuds should have been home and dry long before FT, another mini-collapse going on… but 3 from 3, this Maureen fella maybe a bell-end of the highest proportions, but he knows his footy too…

30th November 2019 at 8:10 pm #54981I've been supporting Man City for 10 years now. I'm getting emotional even tweeting this right now. Pep Guardiola is ruining my club and our traditions. Sack him before it is too late. Messi made his career and has given him a false reputation. Please join me #PepOUT ?

30th November 2019 at 8:13 pm #54982Liverpool fan Aaron Cresswell scores the winner for West Ham against Chelsea. Ex Red Javier Manquillo wins a late free kick for Newcastle later finished by ex Red Jonjo Shelvey. A lot of sub plots today.

30th November 2019 at 9:16 pm #54990This just shows there genuinely are no easy games. Brighton could have snatched a late 2-2. You have to be able to play to the Last Whistle. Maybe that in itself is ‘the test’.
Now, in the 80s for example when there wasn’t a Back-pass Rule, Liverpool made obvious use of this to their Advantage to and run down the clock.
The point being that even 3 minutes, 2 minutes, 1 minute AGAINST the RATE of Intensity CAN change the course of the game.

1st December 2019 at 8:13 am #55012Anonymous“Yep, the keeper generally sets the wall position, but a player cannot delay the restart of the game, I wasnβt ready isnβt really an excuse.”
It is an excuse if 99% of the time the ref will hold for the wall to be set.
“Itβs a legitimate free kick goal for me. Iβve absolutely no complaints about it… Someone should have stood over the ball”
Maybe but that’s a book-able offense. If you lads aren’t going to admit/agree that the ref should have held his whistle then you’re saying that they never should because they always, ALWAYS do.
Sean, you may not have a complaint about it and that’s fine. I do and that’s fine too. In the end it didn’t matter but we definitely don’t need that **** in my opinion.

1st December 2019 at 8:28 am #55014Mak, I get what youβre saying as itβs a precedent that is usually adhered to, but unfortunately the laws of the game werenβt broken. Standing over the ball is common place and only very rarely is a player booked for it.
Yep itβs a difficult one to take. Changing the scenario a little, in grassroots games if a kids laces come undone, the ref usually holds play while theyβre done up, he doesnβt have to, and the arguments that follow from parents if the ref doesnβt hold the game are quite vicious…..Pagan

1st December 2019 at 1:02 pm #5502772 points to play for from 24 games. Pep’s team can still reach 101 points.
If we’re to go by from last season, in Doc Brown’s terms, it’s going to need a “Bolt Of Lightening” π
There will be points dropped by Liverpool. It’s a question of whether others can capitalize.

1st December 2019 at 3:16 pm #55034Itβs odd business football, managers fail then get another top job, can you imagine failing at Burger King , then at KFC, and then at Pizza Hut, do you think MacDonaldβs would give you the top job?…..Pagan

1st December 2019 at 3:24 pm #55035Watching Norwich v Arsenal 2-2 at the moment. Arsenal a bit lucky. Alan Smith commentary just a little biased! Arsenal defence just as good as ever.
Thinking a three at the back formation….Jones Mustafi Otemendi with David Luiz and Rojo as back up

1st December 2019 at 3:52 pm #55038Flores to be fair has previous. I think the Owners of Forest did this reinstalling a Manager they previously sacked only to get rid of him once again.
I’ve never have known that in the ‘real world’ only for those that have resigned on their own accord to re-join their former employer.

1st December 2019 at 3:55 pm #55039Not quite Xmas, but Teams at the bottom I’d imagine are beginning to realise and feel their plight, so from their POV, the fight for survival if you like is on.
Those then slightly above them start to look over their shoulders and try and fight to avoid being sucked in.
That’s why there are no easy games.
