It was a bit unlucky that for Chelsea – it somehow went through 3 players and then got deflected. The game is there for Chelsea still, but I just worry theyβre just a touch naive in their play to make the most of it.

Chelsea are getting so many opportunities to really hit city on break but making some bad decisions with the final ball

I did fancy City before the game simply because I think theyβre better without the ball. But there is very much scope there for Chelsea to have a go and City donβt look quite the same side as they have. Iβd expect a few more goals yet.

I went for a nap before the Liverpool game as my sleeping pattern is just not great right now. I set 6 alarms, I remember waking up and thinking ok, time for the… next thing its 17:35.
So I saw the extended highlights of the Liverpool match, if you could call them that. So Robertson started, trent and Hendo were apparently terrible. We couldn’t keep a clean sheet again but judging by what I saw, I should just shut my mouth and be super grateful that we even won. We can’t have played well, if we didn’t even look like a half a decent side in the highlights, extended or otherwise.
I never miss Liverpool games really but I am kinda glad I missed this one and just got to see the result, as I’d have lost it at Palace’s equalizer and this time perhaps, not seen that inevitability in our play.
What exactly did Trent and Hendo do wrong today in your opinions lads? I didnt see much of trent in the highlights at all but there was a lovely forward through ball from Hendo in them onto Mane, who just blazed wide.

Disappointing to play so well for 30 minutes and then give away two sloppy passes that led to two goals and Frank will be furious with Emerson for letting Mahrez come inside on his left foot. You can’t give this City side a sniff if you want to get anything out if the game.

Chelsea had a nice bit of play there and Willian shoots from there? That’s just awful. You’ve got to look to lay it off, cross, pass etc.. a wild, speculative shot is only giving the ball back to the opposition and showing them that it’s getting to you…. very poor.

Mak, Trents passing was all over the place in the first half, putting cross field passes either straight out or to the opposition. Hendo didn’t do anything particularly wrong, in fact he created a very good chance for Mane and was better in my opinion than Gini. I suspect where you read he was dreadful were just saying that as its Hendo. Overall the team wasn’t playing well and Palace deserved more from the game.

Chelsea needed that 2nd goal when on top as city were all over the shop. At half time you knew pep would make them more compact.
Chelsea started really well but city managed the game superbly when they went ahead
