Just back from a couple of days break.
Suggestion.
Lets forget Sunday. Tensions got the better of all including me. It is only ONE game.
Been reading about Sterling and Gomez. Rio Ferdinands slant from one who knows was interesting.
Sounds like they care about their teams which is good. As we werent there we cant comment.

Mak despite Sunday I still like your posts and comments (well most!).

Other half up in Manchester today. Think I’ll watch the women v Czechs …Theres nobody there!
The refs alright. She can make all sorts of decisions BBC4. Take a look.

I dont follow this Sterling/Gomez thing. Ive just seen them training together and smiling.
So why did he leave Sterling out? Did I miss something. The various news reports just seem to focus on Southgate for and against. Why didnt he leave both out. Gomez is a big fellow compared with Sterling.

This womens game is ok!
1-1 although I think Bravo’s sisters are in goal for each team.
2-1 for England.
Commentators comment on England move which led to the goal was a bit……well

This whole sordid affair has been badly handled from the moment the ref blew his whistle at the start of the game and even Southgates mismanagement of the latest incident. Think as suggested by the editor it’s time to close this thread down. Good thing there’s international football this week.
