When passions are running high, it’s very easy to read between the lines on a post, especially when it’s a point of view you might not agree with that’s been written in 3 seconds during a football match and everybody is suffering with the Buffy-Verbal-Bullocks-Syndrome (or BVBS for short! π ). That’s all it is, most of us have been on here for years now, and we’ve all fallen out with each other at some stage. We’re all good lads deep down…. (except Buffy, he’s a prize plonker!).

11th November 2019 at 3:34 pm #52580here we go again, when will “fans” ever learn. Once a decision has been made..thats it, it is not going to be overturned. It really does not matter the rights and wrong, if it did VAR would be taking much longer than it does now!!!! I was interested in the “toe ” incident because all the attention was on the “toe” but then in the same frame a defender was ahead of the “toe” I give up on this because I do not see any clarity in the rules, which are now so complicated we will soon see players with pitch side lawyers!!!!!!
back to the Liverpool/City game…..never mind the why and wherefore of what happened….it happened…move on. The game badly needs fans to appreciate the game more and less of the hassle. I have yet to hear….did anybody actually enjoy the game? Win or loose? It is easy to say yes when you win but can it be said that a loosening side also enjoys a game of football. Not just this game , but any game. I am aware of tribalism and I wish it did not affect our beautiful game, sadly I see things will not improve until common sense gets a better grip_____________________________

11th November 2019 at 4:02 pm #52593Brian – I thoroughly enjoyed the game, but I guess my view is somewhat skewed by the result, but trying to be objective, I thought it was a high class match played at a frightening pace. But despite the pace, there was some fantastic movement, skill and tenacity from both sides. The difference between the 2 sides for me was City’s defence and Liverpool’s finishing. It’s probably fair to say our players turned up more than City’s did. With the honourable exception of Sterling, I thought your other big players were quiet. KDB, Aguero, Rodri and bernardo were unable to effect anything too concerning for a Liverpool fan.
So, yes, I enjoyed the game, the atmosphere was good and a couple of great goals.

11th November 2019 at 5:07 pm #52594Brian-It was an absolutely belter of a game,of the 2 best teams in the world football right now.And I agree with some fans who say that VAR is killing the sexy game we all love.It was a game played @ a scary pace,fre-flowing football, and City did have their chances.Fantastic game of football from both teams and a joy to watch game.

11th November 2019 at 7:44 pm #52605This is the point I am making guys. Reading the fact you enjoyed a game of football played by two good teams….it is as simple as that….like I said before fans are too obsessed with the “Ifs and buts” of the game and not enough in appreciating what 22 players are producing. I know there will always be incidents that grate on the nerves but it passes, cannot be recalled and just watch the game unfold I enjoy football but not the obsession and lunacy of some fans and pundits of the behaviour and comments

11th November 2019 at 8:04 pm #52607To sum up yesterday, there was a game of footy between the teams that were first and second at the start of the round of fixtures.
One team won, and one lost. A small minority of the losing teamβs fans got the hump on and tried to deflect the reasons for the loss onto the officials, some from the winning team took exception to this and some accused anyone that didnβt bow down and worship the winning team as haters of the said team.
For me it was just a game of footy between two teams, that was apparently quite entertaining (I had it on in the background) with some great passages of play, some missed opportunities and some really good goals.
Unfortunately the quality of the game as a whole and the goals scored was overshadowed petty arguments and moaning about VAR and how it works or doesnβt…..Pagan

11th November 2019 at 8:17 pm #52609What a load of glorious nonsense that was, more plotholes than a VAR offside decision, but twice as enjoyable if you know what I mean!!
