Agree threeps, I’m a bit concerned about clean sheets but we still don’t concede many chances at all. How many saves has Alison had to make since he came back? About 2?
Clean sheets are great but as long as we are winning it’s fine.
I think we are playing better then this time last season. We are creating more chances. We just need to start sticking them away.
I’m not so sure city will come at us. We might need to score 1st to open the game up
It’s going to a really interesting game tactically and I’m the opposite to Mikus. I think it might be a stalemate like last year at anfield

8th November 2019 at 8:07 am #52080Couple of belting Derbies on Sunday in the Championship Cardiff v Bristol City and Wolves v Villa. No love lost in either of them.
My wife is praying for a Bristol City win as Aidan Flint frightened our little puppy to death yesterday with his souped up Range Rover.

8th November 2019 at 9:13 am #52085Sean, actually it’s Marlon Pack who lives a few doors along but Flint stays with him regularly for Cardiff home games.

8th November 2019 at 9:47 am #520893ps, I think a lot of our shortages have come from our lack of Firepower in Firmino in particular. Pundits though (and Jose Mourinho’s been one of them) have cited his work ethic and contribution in other areas of the pitch.
On Mo, just not seen the same Salah that scored that ‘Maradona’ esque goal against Arsenal – maybe not the same played since he was recently injured.
Mane is still the Main Man for us, but how important too for us is James Milner? His Leadership and contribution is big.
I seen on Tv Fabinho against other players and never realised just how tall he is.
I get the feeling City will be conservative and try and catch us on the break. Lovren is Tall too, but they’ll try and play us around the back and with intensity. We need to watch out for the cross-field ball whipped in at pace that cuts out all our defenders and somebody coming from the far post coming in.
Hard to predict, and I really hope we come out on Top – could really lift us psychologically more than anything.
Cheers

8th November 2019 at 10:31 am #52086Anonymous999… who said horses impale themselves on fences during fireworks? Sounds like you need to slap that Brissol city player with an ASBO…. That or you need to get a bigger dog, perhaps a Range Rover? an abusrdly bad joke. Im off to hang my head in shame for the weekend. Have fun folks… who’s top of the fantasy league now?

8th November 2019 at 10:36 am #52094Sean, Palace are a bit of a bogey team for us and they always raise their game v Chelsea very tricky game on Saturday especially with Jorginho suspended and possibly no Mount through injury too.

8th November 2019 at 10:53 am #52097I’ve got a bit of a dilemma on Sunday normally I would be watching the Liverpool v City game live on Sky but we’re committed to Acoustic night in the Pub from 6pm on Sunday so now I don’t know whether to watch the first half and record the second half or record the whole game and hope someone doesn’t tell me the result which tbf applies to both solutions.?
Haven’t a clue how the game will finish but given what’s at stake my inclination is to say it will end up as a draw which would suit both teams probably Liverpool more than City.
The odds on all 3 outcomes reflect how difficult it is to call.

8th November 2019 at 11:35 am #52101A draw would be fine. Just to be equal on points with City if we account for Palace would be an achievement I reckon. Within 6 of Liverpool having lost to them already would also be something. Those results would leave us going to City in the following game hunting points to shoot 3 clear of them. I can relate to that. #thefutureisbrightthefutureisblue

8th November 2019 at 12:28 pm #52103I think we need to beat city. 1 point from 6 cost is last year againest then. We need to be winning the big games at home.
A draw be good for city as they will be very confident of closing the gap on 6 points. Dec/jan is going to be a crazy month for both sides
City have had a blip already and Liverpool are going to go through a rough patch/blip at some stage so we need to get as many points ahead of city as we can
A 9 point lead is still not a huge gap in nov. If we were 20 points clear I still wouldn’t be confident
The gap could even be 3 come Sunday evening. City are more then capable of beating us. I’ve no idea how this going to go ?

8th November 2019 at 1:16 pm #52109Don’t look at points yet, just each game. Actually I like to look at the next block or sequence of games, say between each international break and see if we can win those. Worrying about a 3, 6, 9 or 20(!) point lead will do you no good.

8th November 2019 at 1:42 pm #52114Ederson out of Sundays game.
Given all City’s injuries to key players Ederson being the latest Sunday is a massive opportunity for Liverpool to go 9 points clear.

8th November 2019 at 2:31 pm #52118They should keep Kyle Walker in goal, did nothing wrong in midweek. Just a bit of advice for Pep.

8th November 2019 at 2:41 pm #52119Talking of goalkeepers, someone told me today that Ben Foster has had more shots on goal this season than Jesse Lingard, is that right?….Pagan
