I don’t think someone’s life should be threatened because of a football game. and i think that shouldn’t be justified. you don’t know the truama that those whose lives are threatened go through._____________________________

11th November 2019 at 12:37 am #52476Imagine my excitement seeing the score when I got up this morning, then I seen the controversy with not so complimentary comments & thought did we deserve it or were we lucky. Stats show they dominated possession/shots etc so did we outplay them or were they the better team?
Adlab is very predictable, I told y’all he’s complimentary & balanced whilst ever city are dominating & winning but bitter as heel when they aren’t. Very funny how predictable he is so I say just have a laugh at his bitterness.
Our goals were pretty good & on the handballs, there was a city handball in one of them so I’d say our handball wouldn’t have happened if they didn’t happen 1st. As for the other one it did appear TAA was trying to get his arms in but truth be told I’d expect a pen if that was against us.
Either way I’d be interested to hear from the balanced & unbiased posters such as BBlue/pagan/Sean/htown (a few others but these come to mind), did we deserve the 3 points or not.
Take care all & remember, health & happiness are much more important than a game (although happiness & football sometimes go hand in hand, but you know what I mean)._____________________________

11th November 2019 at 4:08 am #52477AnonymousAre u guys stupid I’m a respectable and caring human being I said his life has been threatened on many occasions by fans cause his such a terrible and vastly overrated and bias ref, not by me. In fact his wife who is also an official ref was also threatened and again not by me, I wouldn’t threaten anyone but there are many millions that will. It’s the price you have to pay for such a high profile job and cheating. The stakes are high. I don’t even care who won that game I’m just against unfairness and crooks.

11th November 2019 at 6:33 am #52479Once again here the VAR system is not at fault but the officials who are simply not intelligent enough to use the system correctly. Firstly the ref should have blown immediately and then with the help of VAR make the correct decision, however I don’t think you can call back the play after a goal was then scored in the opposite box, it’s going to kill the game, our officials were never good enough and VAR has exposed them even further.

11th November 2019 at 6:36 am #52480Oz, unlike last year the game lived up to it’s billing. City came out of the blocks very fast and it was during this phase that the TAA non-handball to Fabinho goal occured. At first I thought it was not a pen as I thought his hands were in a natural position but on second look this morning I admit I was wrong. However, and this is a big however, there was an attacking handball before that (B. Silva I think) and any handball by an attacker that leads to a goal (surely a pen and then goal still falls under this?) is deemed handball, intentional or not, natural position of the hand or not. It might be a a bit of a grey area still but I think correct decision.
For the 2nd goal I actually thought offside at first. In game I didn’t get to see the VAR guy draw his stupid little lines so cannot say for sure if it was or not. This should detract from the beauty of this goal, a wonderful crossfield pass from TAA to Robertson and a superb cross for Salah.
3rd goal was a superb cross from Henderson with some questionable goalkeeping by Bravo and a simple finish.
Overall the game was very good. City looked dangerous without creating a huge number of chances. One or two could of gone their way and changed things, like the deflection onto the post, or when Lovren somehow deflected the ball despite already going to ground for a dummied shot. Liverpool were more clinical and I think deserved the win. City didn’t dominate possession for the whole game, it was fairly even until the last 15 minutes when they needed the goals and Liverpool sat back with Salah up top for a counter.
TAA, Lovren, Fab and Gini I think were the standout players. Sterling and B. Silva for City. Aguero I thought had a poor game, as did the City defence. Rodri was a clear 2nd best in the midfield battle.

11th November 2019 at 7:54 am #52485I haven’t read through the whole thread as I’ve been a little busy this weekend. It’s obvious though that things got a bit out of hand which is unfortunate but somewhat expected in such an important game. Quick reminder to everyone to please show respect to your fellow posters on here and remember it’s an all teams forum still.
Nil, whenever you sense that it’s time to reach for that CAPS LOCK, it’s probably a good time to get some rest ?
Congrats Pool fans. Commiserations City fans. I still don’t think the title is over yet. A couple of losses and the rest are right back in it
As for my own team. Still can’t make my mind up. We were good against Brighton and against Partizan I the EL but it’s games like our next one where I just don’t have any confidence is us. Away to Sheff Utd. We’ll drop far too many points in that kind of game to be competitive, unfortunately.

11th November 2019 at 7:54 am #52486Threeps slot on mate. At the end of the day Oliver got all the decisions right. It wouldn’t have been given as silva handled it.
Great game. Big 3 points we move on

11th November 2019 at 9:03 am #52490One big problem is var said no pen because of were taa arm was but those have been given. The correct decision was that silva handled the ball in the lead up to that but pundits etc all ignored this as it looked like no one knew the correct rule

11th November 2019 at 9:04 am #52491AnonymousSo it was according to Liverpool people 2 handballs and that cancelled each other out, well actually if it was 2 handballs all the more reason he should have blown irrespective for who. It’s insane to say he let play carry on cause they cancell each other out, The first goal with 2 strong teams has a lot of value and changes the dynamics of the game, I bet if it was Liverpool on the other end of the stick you would never hear the end of it, Anyway terrible ref and guess it’s who you know why he his been successful certainly not his blowing. My I add that Klopp behaves like an idiot on the sidelines guess he enjoys it.

11th November 2019 at 9:10 am #52495AnonymousMoos, Stop justifying your pathetic attitude.
bullying is acceptable in your world. Why? because the ref brought it on himself by cheating… Thats what you are saying.
How about its not acceptable at any level to harass or threaten a referee at any level of the game?
So, in your mind, its ok, for example, for a parent to swear at a ref or linesman during a youth football game because they brought it on themselves by making a bad decision? You wouldn’t be against it would you, you wouldn’t intervene if you shared the same opinion of the ref with those doing the abusing? Or would you tell the people around you its wrong? Doubtful..
Lets try this one, its ok to harass a woman because her skirt is short and she is dressed provocatively as is her right to wear whatever she likes? She can talk to you in a bar and move on, I know you wouldn’t touch her but millions of others would because she brought it on herself by being flirtatious so presumably in a court if your sat on the jury, you’d side with the rapist, because the woman was cheating men out of sex.
Heaven forbid a female referee takes charge of a game because in your tiny messed up world, it would be excusable to allow shouts and threats of Rape or assault because you could see why she brought it on herself by cheating?
Wow…. Simply wow that a dinosaur like you has the ability to use the internet…

11th November 2019 at 9:28 am #52497Pagan, the difference is though, I made my feelings clear. So everyone knows where they stand. Real shame my checking my Phone yesterday and reading some of the comments emerging on here that changed my mood. I should take Ed’s advice and put the Keyboard away.
This is why we have our own individual club boards, for this very reason.
People are fixated on the handball and so were Man City that they didn’t play to the whistle so of course, our goal stood. We don’t get much credit for the way we played, but I’m cool with that.
Harassing a Referee is not ok. I would expect the FA to take some action. We’re starting to see True Colours.

11th November 2019 at 9:40 am #52499AnonymousI want even mention your name cause you not worth mentioning but what you brilliant at is twisting the actual facts and what I said way out of context, never said it was OK but no I don’t have any pity for an official that cheats, as far as females are concerned I am a protector of women and should one raise their hands against me I would never retaliate. I can’t believe that people that blatantly twist something so as to make it seem its okay to cheat in any format like you are even allowed to post on any sites.

11th November 2019 at 10:17 am #52503Moos, I’ve not commented on what you’ve said yet as I just skip over what you say as it’s mostly rubbish. But after that last comment I won’t.
You are an “Arschloch”, as my “superior race” friends would say.
