Jim, we were out to lunch today and had to wrestle with recording the City game, watching it without knowing the result and fitting it in before the Chelsea game came on and I just about managed it with the odd bit of fast forwarding at the stoppages.
Tbh mate although I feel like a traitor it’s a joy to watch your lads with the football they are playing under Pep. Cheers 999

5th November 2017 at 8:05 pm #7236Chucky, hahaha nice work. For a moment there I thought that was Joe Hart! Mignolet gets loads of stick at times, sometimes justified, but often, just pick on by convenience and reputation.
I think looking at Everton, I’m starting to have doubts on Jordan Pickford.
Hart seems to me meanwhile in just collecting his weekly pay packet.

5th November 2017 at 8:10 pm #7238Jim, I relaxed and kind as they come, but it just seems at times pulling teeth and hard work when it comes to trying to socially engage and find a balance between good humour and feeling passionate about Liverpool.
I will NEVER lose the belief unless mathematically impossible of forecasting a possibility for my club to climb the table. People think it’s personally attributed to them, but it’s essentially just looking after my own and admittedly one can subject to being precious and exhibiting pride.
Respect.

5th November 2017 at 8:12 pm #7239Haha that’s nice to know nine. You can imagine the pleasure the lads are giving me and every other City fan. You dont hear much moaning from home fans at the Etihad these days. I didn’t think We were at our best today but still had enough to see off Arsenal which when I think about it is pretty amazing. Its not just Peps passing style of play but i beleive he has improved virtually every aspect of our game. Staminar, chasing and pressing the opposition, finishing of the forwards and the positional play of the defenders. Its really clever stuff and I don’t know how long we can keep this up as it’s a long season but I will enjoy it whole it lasts that’s for sure. Jim

5th November 2017 at 8:29 pm #7242Jim, agree a the all of that mate. I’m currently reading Pep Confidential and thoroughly enjoying it. Still got a way to go but it already touches on some of what you say above.
If it’s not over yet but it probably will be by Christmas. Spurs, United,Chelsea and Liverpool all currently look like they are competing for 2nd place. Cheers 999

5th November 2017 at 9:11 pm #7244Jim, you should it’s well worth it.
I read Balague’s biography too “Another way of winning” that one’s a good read too. It’s interesting to try and find out what makes Pep tick.

5th November 2017 at 9:16 pm #7245@newbalance, I see nothing from 999 to justify your post at 7:48 tonight. As Jim suggested, chill! It’s nothing more than a kind word for the moment but I would like you to refrain from attacking other posters on here.
There’s a decent bunch of posters on here and I’ve yet to have to delete a post or block anyone (apart from obvious wind-up merchants.) Let’s try to keep it that way. Feel free to email me if you take issue with any poster going forward.
Now back to the football. Good win for Liverpool NB. Every reason to be positive going into the International break.

5th November 2017 at 9:16 pm #7246Above all from a Liverpool point of view if Liverpool can’t win the League Championship, the simply rather the alternative. Fairenough. At some point though, one would think: FENWAY SPORTS GROUP. So what are they here for?
Are they here for mid table Liverpool or Premier League Liverpool?
Russian and Arab so and sos enjoy your day as Liverpool Football Club is genuinely loved and our time will come. But then I’m told when I’m wishing for new owners: be careful what you wish for: Chelsea and Manchester City: be careful what you wish for. Seems so far a flurry of Flowers and Chocolates.
Liverpool Football Club only need one to equal and 2 to leap over Manchester United.

5th November 2017 at 9:31 pm #7250Nil, believe me my club is well and truly loved. Careful what I wish for? Well 10 years ago not in my wildest dreams did i think I would be seeing us competing at the top table in football and I could not wish for anything better. Your bitterness and pure jealousy is frankly ridiculous, if only you had to follow your club through a relegation or two then you might understand what following your club through thick and thin means! Jim

5th November 2017 at 9:52 pm #7256FYI I’ve given @newbalance a “break” from the site, initially for a day or two as I didn’t like his last post on the previous page. Now onto the International break where I hope we can see NB posting again as I know he’s a passionate England fan. Enjoy the rest of your evening NB and I’ll send you an email tomorrow

5th November 2017 at 9:57 pm #7257Jim, as much as it pains me to see City playing such good football and seemingly running away with the league, I wouldn’t begrudge a single City fan like yourself the joy you must be feeling right now under Pep. Certainly not any of you who have been there through the ups and downs. It’s what football is all about.

5th November 2017 at 10:05 pm #7258Me neither Jim. Perhaps that’s the reason for my affinity for City we’ve both lived through the tough times and relegations.
Chelsea even lost ownership of the Bridge and I remember all of the buckets outside collecting money from the fans to save the Bridge.

5th November 2017 at 10:12 pm #7259Ed with regards to Nil I think most on here know what he’s like, its just a rollercoaster with him at times but generally he’s a good lad and a good poster. We are all defensive about our clubs at times. If you read this nil sorry I don’t mean to be condescending.
With regards to Pep. If I’m honest I had misgivings last season when all we had was plan A even when plan A wasn’t working. Now it seems to work nearly all the time. Sure we are going to come unstuck at some point. On a side issue I would love to see young Foden get some game time this season, shame he wasn’t on the bench today. I think he deserves a place ahead of Yaya.

6th November 2017 at 8:30 am #7270Terrible week for me on the Prediction League, a few of you monkeys sniffing right up a chuff!!
Is it a sign of things to come? Can Man City have a “Chucky Wobble” to make the season remotely interesting? I doubt it, off to the bookies to put a City/Chucky double!
