First blood to Chelsea! Morata!
To be fair, they deserve to be in the lead.

5th November 2017 at 5:43 pm #7206Why can’t we wish defeats on “undesirables”? That’s about as much a part of football as round balls…

5th November 2017 at 5:53 pm #7208Chucky, having studied the league table, I’m actually happy with the way the standings are. It’s just Man City that are head and shoulders above everyone else so I’d be wishing for them to be dropping points every week.
From an LFC pov, we have hope, but equally, we have a frail and such an amateur formation of a defence to be putting on a string of say 6 wins in succession.

5th November 2017 at 6:23 pm #7210Well, Spuds won, Arsenal lost, Maureen lost, not the worst day… see you all in a couple of weeks after ANOTHER pointless international break!

5th November 2017 at 6:24 pm #7211nb, had I talked about Liverpool getting beaten 4 nil at Anfield by United 20 minutes before kick off you would have gone into orbit, imo it’s disrespectful and silly especially given the fact that Chelsea are Champions and this is meant to be a sensible football forum. Nuff said.

5th November 2017 at 6:26 pm #7212The Champions turned up.
Kante magnificent and Hazard and Fabregas not far behind. Brilliant header from Morata to move Chelsea a point away from United and Spurs.
Reports of our death were grossly exaggerated. Now for the 13 game winning run!?

5th November 2017 at 6:52 pm #7221It was for 20 mins nine then Chelsea took over. Chelsea should have had the game wrapped up before utd gave it go. Bullet header and Chelsea were excellent
I canβt believe how bad mikithyren is these days. Heβs been poor in general since he came

5th November 2017 at 7:11 pm #7222Agree on Mhiki. He was poor after first joining then really started to grow into the role. He’s really regressed again now. Utd really lack that game changer that league winning sides need. Hazard, Aguero, Kane, De Bruyne etc. You don’t win leagues without a standout game changer and I’m looking around that Utd side trying to find one and struggling.
The better side won today and our disastrous record against Chelsea continues. It was a massive over reaction 9 to recent results at Chelsea and I didn’t for a minute expect anything more than a point for Utd. It’ll be Utd’s turn now to face an over reaction similar to the one Chelsea faced.
Congrats to Chelsea!

5th November 2017 at 7:32 pm #7224Ed, I’ve thought for a long time that one of the missing ingredients at United was a real game changer.
The rumours surrounding Conte imo have been ridiculous and is felt like the media have been on a feeding frenzy. But the record at CFC for such things is not good and the press seem to be fanning the flames.
I would like to believe Rob Draper’s interview with Conte in today’s Daily Mail was a better reflecting of where the column and Conte are which is rebuilding the team after losing a number of big hitters over the last few years Anne that Conte has told Roman what needs to be done but this is CFC so you never really know.

5th November 2017 at 7:35 pm #7225November 5th today. It might be the day United,Spurs and Chelsea’s hopes of winning the title went up in flames on the Bonfire.?

5th November 2017 at 7:39 pm #7227Not a bad day at the office, arsenal were better than I expected, they got in our faces and got us rattled. Aside from Ozil who seemed to completely disappear after about 35mins. Anyone know where he went because I didn’t notice him on the pitch. Thought the Sterling Pen was stone wall. But even in the ground I thought Silva was offside for the third. But hey it gives Wenger something to moan about so even better lol;-) Didnt think we were at our clinical best today but still three points and with Chelsea winning thats a great result.
Ps wouldn’t worry too much about Nil nine. You know what he is like more emotional ups and downs than a hoares drawers lol. Only last week he hated us lot and you guys so wanting you to lose 4-0 is fine lol. I would like to add I think his heart is in the right place. Most of the time ?_____________________________

5th November 2017 at 7:48 pm #7229999, steady on, this is not your site so you don’t have any right as such dictating what I can and can’t think so don’t you be taking the ‘sensible’ tone and monopolize others. It’s up to me what I think. I may have gone into orbit because you come across two-faced. You’re saying things like “a comfortable Liverpool victory” or words to that effect, then the minute I get my hopes up, you come out with “oh but watch out for Andy Carroll”. That’s your regularity pal, so please quit this attitude or kindly refrain from exchanging conversations. I don’t care all day long if you wanted Liverpool to win every single game as you’re a Chelsea supporter and I would expect nothing different, as with any other opposition club, but it’s the two-faced or the mix-messages I don’t like. It’s not your place to dictate and TELL ME what I can and can’t do.

5th November 2017 at 7:51 pm #7230Jim, at least you understand and take it in the way it is meant to be. Of course we want pleasantries and sound exchanges, but also, people have to accept when opposition fans want the OTHER team to lose. It’s competitive and perfectly normal. No need for certain individuals to get on their hobby horse, monopolize conversation and TWIST everything out of context!

5th November 2017 at 7:59 pm #7232Well above all a good week from a Liverpool point of view. The teams above us were forced to face either this week so inevitably, points were going to be dropped.
Hard work, but 2nd spot for example is not out of the question and something to aim for in my strong opinion. Maybe City can slip up and I believe sooner or later they will.
From our point of view we need to just keep winning games and have that belief and confidence in ourselves.
A special mention to David Unsworth and a big well done for pulling off a comeback over Watford in what could have been a different result altogether. I hope he is in the running for the Everton job.
