I have to admit to a guilty secret. I just love watching City play under Pep.

5th November 2017 at 3:57 pm #7183Ed, was just thinking in one way, it’s not just a bad thing between the top 6 if the points out of these games aren’t distributed evenly (i.e. games ending in a draw). At the moment as the table stands, I wouldn’t be too disappointed if for example, United were to beat Chelsea. That would be a profitable week from an LFC point of view.

5th November 2017 at 3:59 pm #7184Ed, big game for Kante to come back to and I wonder whether he will last the full 90 mins having been our for 4 weeks but this Chelsea team looks to have a better balance about it.
Still be a very tough game though. I’ll take a 0-0 now.?

5th November 2017 at 4:03 pm #7186Looks a very defensive line up from Chelsea. 5 defenders and two holding players.
Ed, look at the teams utd played with pogba this season. They didn’t play anyone from the top ten until Liverpool.
He’s a good player no doubt but he’s been a letdown in general since he cane two utd. At the end of the day he still has two trophies in his 1st season though
Ozil is a joke these days. City the much better side

5th November 2017 at 4:06 pm #7187Why though nine 0-0? Chelsea are at home can pull big points back on utd. Looks like Conte is setting up for a draw as he did the same against city. To defensive in my view but I could be wrong mate. If hazard is nullified , there’s only Morata that’s a real threat or maybe Fabregas

5th November 2017 at 4:07 pm #7189999, yeah, pretty chuffed with that. Burnley are also on 19 points.
As it stands, it just looks almost impossible that Man City will falter. But for the rest of us with this type of fluctuation, it fills us with hope and makes the league more appealing.

5th November 2017 at 4:10 pm #7190I got 3 Chelsea players in my fantasy team and obviously don’t want United, though if United were to come away with a 4-0 thumping, Liverpool would move up to 4th.
I don’t what to think, but imagine, if this was on the final day of the season and a matter of qualifying for the Champions League, I’d be cheering on my enemy!

5th November 2017 at 4:10 pm #7191I think pretty much everyone would be happy with a draw 9, including the other sides in and around the top of the table. I’d love us to go there and really have a go at Chelsea but I just can’t see it and I think we’d be picked off like we were last season. May the best team win anyway!

5th November 2017 at 4:13 pm #7192Ed, utd went to Chelsea last season with Jose’s usual tactics but his plans were in pieces as Chelsea scored from a huge blunder in the 1st min. Utd continued to play 6-3-1 until Chelsea got the 2nd. Utd didn’t go at Chelsea last season

5th November 2017 at 4:23 pm #7193nb, despite the problems you’re dreaming if you think that United will win 4 nil at the Bridge.
Chelsea haven’t been at their best yet this season and the form has been patchy brilliant away to Atletico awful at home to City but I would be amazed if we lost 4 nil at the Bridge to United.
Just like last season you need to stop wishing disaster on your competitors if Liverpool are going to make the CL places again this season they will need to do it by their own steam.

5th November 2017 at 4:28 pm #7195Nine, realistically I know that. But my point was, if we had a scenario like this on the last day, then it’s something I would HAVE to believe if it meant that would move Liverpool into 4th place.
As for the competitors, true to an extent, but it every little contributes and even better if teams above us drop points – prime example with Arsenal, just now.

5th November 2017 at 4:39 pm #7196My bad explanation Sean. I know we didn’t go at Chelsea last season, as such. I just meant they picked us off last season in a game where the share of the ball and the share of the chances was pretty even.

5th November 2017 at 4:39 pm #7197Should be 1-1 already. Rashford should be scoring that and Morata unlucky there to have his disallowed

5th November 2017 at 4:52 pm #7198Cool ed, much more open game and great start to the match. I think both sides have taken us by surprise. Bakayoko playing much further forward then I thought

5th November 2017 at 5:21 pm #7199Still could go either way but what a difference Kante has made to Chelsea.

5th November 2017 at 5:21 pm #7200A much more open game than I thought it would be… some decent chances at both ends… think I’d take a draw, the more I think about it.

5th November 2017 at 5:29 pm #7201A draw wouldn’t be a bad result from a neutral pov.
