XG Spurs 1.82 vs Ipswich 1.74 though Chucky so sounds like Spurs must have had a lot of shots from nowhere if they had that many more shots but only a marginally better XG

10th November 2024 at 5:53 pm #216441Not to mention big chances:
Spurs 2, Ipswich 3

10th November 2024 at 5:57 pm #216442Didn’t think the XG would have been that close or Ipswich that high… did notice the 90 sec goal kicks when the score was still 0-0… I had it all down as a fortunate smash and grab…
Doesn’t matter now, they still got the 3 and we know neither Werner or Dragusin are worth the aggro…

10th November 2024 at 6:13 pm #216443Ange just seems to be very tactically poor.

10th November 2024 at 6:27 pm #216444That’s the thing, Micky, Spuds lose and it’s Angie’s fault… it wasn’t Angie who gave those VAR decisions which really could have gone the otherway, it wasn’t Angie who skied a shot while under no pressure 5 yards over the bar (that was Werner!)… could have been 5-2 Spuds, and we’d be sitting third.. and I doubt we’d be sitting here talking about Angie’s tactics… it was a game where the some of the very fine margins didn’t fall for us..

10th November 2024 at 6:41 pm #216445I think it’s more than a few missed chances Banjo. Ange is a good attacking coach but there are surely issues out of possession and in game management.

10th November 2024 at 6:46 pm #216446More points dropped. I would be happy being in City’s position.
19 points in Chelsea occupying 3rd to Villa who are 9th but sit on 18 points themselves. Pretty weird, but these teams are effectively neck-n-neck reflecting how competitive our league is.

10th November 2024 at 6:54 pm #216447It was a good point for Chelsea, given that we are still on the path to recovery. What makes it even better is that we fell behind once again and came back instantly. That shows what we lacked in defence we made up for in attack. with almost a third of the league gone, we are sitting third albiet on goal difference, considering we were 14th at this stage last season, which shows tremendous improvement. So far we have played, Liverpool, Newcastle, United, and Arsenal on the trot, and we only lost to Liverpool. I don’t feel shame losing to the league leaders.
We have another International break, and in a good position, fingers are crossed we don’t get injuries from some key players like Palmer, Caidcedo, and Colwill. As for the rest, we can manage them. our competitors except Newcastle and United have dropped points.

10th November 2024 at 6:58 pm #216448Arsenal have no players to bail them out if they’re not playing great. I’ve never understood all the talk of them to be title contenders over recent years, certainly when they’re up against City. I’m also all too aware how crucial Salah is to us. Diaz has been getting better though and we have a good mix of attackers though it doesn’t look like the punt on Chiesa going to pay off. Be interesting to see what business is done in January. You can bet City will be doing something!

10th November 2024 at 7:05 pm #216450Micky, we’re the leagues highest scorers, and only you mob have a better goal difference… and apart from the 2nd half against Brighton and the complete no show against Palace, we’ve been arguably the better side in every game we’ve played, just those little margins missing with us (like 2 VAR calls today, which could have gone the other way, or Ips 2nd goal which really could have gone anywhere)…
Personally, disappointed with the points on the board, as I think we’ve been better than that… not worried about Angie just yet, we’re just not getting the rub of the green right now…

10th November 2024 at 7:47 pm #216452Always goes back to ambitions of the club and fans and what realistically can be achieved. This is not yesterday, yesteryear, but now beyond 30 years.
What is acceptable and classed as a good season for Spurs? Top 6 finish? A good Cup run? Doing well in Europe?
5-1 lost 5 at this stage of the season…That type of Jekyll and Hyde form evidently will just place you more lower down the table. How long will Ange last is the question.

11th November 2024 at 7:40 am #216453But banjo mikuis is right. Ang set the teams up. They cant defend. They are terrible without the ball. As i said, i really like ange but if spurs dont have the nall thry are to easy to play against. Thats a shocking result mate.

11th November 2024 at 7:48 am #216454No way am i ruling arsenal out yet. They have had the toughest run of fixtures. Chelsea, city, spurs, newcastle, villa all away. Expecting a real surge from them after international break.
Im expecting liverpool to drop off at some stage as i just cant see us keeping this up with a new manager and huge changes gone on.enjoying our season but huge tests to come.
If city are 5/6 points within leaders at Christmas they will win the league.

12th November 2024 at 8:35 am #216458I thought these claims including this footage would be refuted, but it’s reported, Coote has admitted to this.
There are stills of certain incidents from recent years involving Coote that has impacted either a player, the course of the game, and/or the result. One of which including Sadio Mane being onside against Brighton; the other being Virgil Van Dijk’s horrific injury.
Potentially, if not already, the integrity of the PL is shot to pieces.
