Yesterday we beat Arsenal 4-1 but there was no VAR.
TWO things:
1 Foden was an armpit offside in the build up to a goal but the goal was given.
2. There was an Arsenal handball that VAR would would have given a penaltyBut I thought the game flowed better.
You cant win. But today the game is the subject of discussion NOT VAR decisions

23rd December 2020 at 10:01 am #172711I think VAR is the right mechanism for a fair and just game, the problem is the rules and the way the officials are interperting them plus they taking too long for most obvious decisions. I also don’t understand why the VAR official is telling the on field ref to go check it himself by the sidelines monitor, what will he see that the var official didn’t see, what’s the difference between the 2 of them.!

23rd December 2020 at 4:35 pm #172720I thought Fernandinho had turned into John Wick.
I hate to say it but there is a certain category of player who tries to con the ref. I wont say as I dont wish to offend anybody!_____________________________

23rd December 2020 at 6:58 pm #172724I no longer understand where any fairness has gone in the game. Newcastle v Fulham…Fulham player sent off…game was a draw..ok but what if Fulham had 11 men on pitch..I ask because the Red card has been reversed….so in my eyes….it was a wrong decision. which could easily affected the result. Where is all the technology help, why did somebody not inform the Ref he got it wrong or was it VAR pannel that got it wrong? I give up!!!!!

24th December 2020 at 1:45 pm #172729AnonymousDid you see Cavani pinching his opponent last night Brian… Who then went on to score a pivotal goal… Shouldn’t have been on the pitch to score the goal. Did you see Fernandes push of Richalrison into Baily? United should have been down to 9… Cant wait until they improve VAR because its starting to happen. Brilliant. It also stops players behaving like wild animals and has actually made the game fairer.
If you want a fairer game you’d be behind VAR.

24th December 2020 at 4:56 pm #172743I’m with Blaze on this.
Tech’s all good, but it’s the rules and the length of time, plus that feeling of ‘anticipation’ of a goal going to be ruled out.
I think there was another game I watched (possibly from the CL), and the Man City EFL game where it felt exactly like it used to be before VAR – largely on the emphasis of flow.
The need to take out armpits and not draw themselves into graph lines to the point of being forensic.

24th December 2020 at 6:00 pm #172746adlab-The punishment for the other offence will commence very soon,I believe. If I`m not mistaken the race comment ban only involves the league games?!
