24th April 2019 at 2:15 pm #38696threeps, I don’t like that sort of gamesmanship before a big game mate whether if comes from a Chelsea Manager a United Manager or any other Manager.
Tbh I wouldn’t really care who won tonight I would just be looking forward to what I expect will be a great game but obviously a City victory would more beneficial to Chelsea than a United one and for that reason a City victory would be preferable but whatever the result I’m sure I’ll enjoy the game.

24th April 2019 at 4:27 pm #38706God, Mav, you’re in a minority! I’m being seeing my licensees in their pubs around Manchester today, and to a man they want City to win the league. There’s a few ‘don’t cares’, but nobody here wants us to win!!

24th April 2019 at 4:34 pm #38707Threeps – your response to Oz was perfect and sums up my feelings exactly. It is self preservation on his and Sean’s part completely. If it gets to the 89th minute on the last day of the season and we need either Brighton to score against City or the Reds to score against Wolves, I will still believe it’s possible. Obviously I wouldn’t bet my mortgage on us doing it, but for the life of me, I can’t understand this perpetual pessimism. I like Oz (and Sean obviously), but Christ, he needs some happy pills. In Sean’s defence he has been far more optimistic this season. Maybe a bit of Oz optimism will bring the same results!!

24th April 2019 at 4:57 pm #38708Adlab, I think Gary Neville said it best when he said it’s like being given the choice of two blokes to nick your wife! But pushed for a choice, I’d have to say City. City and Utd have never been direct rivals for any period of time. You were shit when we were good and we’re now shit when you’re good. There wasn’t much of an overlap. From Utd’s point of view, there just isn’t that historic rivalry with City that exists with Liverpool.

24th April 2019 at 4:58 pm #38709Hightown, the disappointment will be there either way if we donโt win something this season
My point was that we needed to stay in the lead but once it got out of our hands , I thought ciry wouldnt ness up
Itโs nearly two months now since we dropped points st Everton. That was the game for me.
Still no way would I question us if we lose out. Our points tally is unreal
Until we actually win something then Iโll always have doubts as we just canโt seem to get over the line
Itโs just our luck we are up againest this city team

24th April 2019 at 4:59 pm #38710But to add to the above, it’s quite nice in some ways because as difficult as it is to see one of those sides win it as a Utd fan, we are guaranteed to see a team we don’t like fall at the final hurdle. The fact that that’s the only joy we can take out of our season says everything you need to know about where we are at the moment!

24th April 2019 at 5:08 pm #38711I actually expect to be disappointed. Thatโs my issue.
Just to many times recently us fans have had a great build up to the end of the season then we donโt finish the job
Europa final
Cl final
Pl 2014We have lost our last 4 finals. We need to get over that final hurdle. Once we do that Iโve no doubt we will push on

24th April 2019 at 7:12 pm #38715Don’t really know what to make of United’s Line Up.
Seems like a 5-3-2 with obvious emphasis on Defensive. I think this could be a cagey approach to get through 60 percent of the game without conceding and nullifying Man City. Those on the Bench are likely to be gamechangers.
