27th May 2018 at 10:49 pm #22285Good in a little bit of a way to get together at my local with one of the Barman who actually went to Liverpool and staying in a Hotel.
No words really to be spoken out into the open to chew a bit of fat. Distraught in essence, shocked and stunned.
We threw it all away when it was there to be WON.
What a Bank Holiday eh, such is life. Crystal Palace away, 2014, May 5th, when it could have been our Coronation night had we at least drawn to Chelsea the Sunday before.
We’re gifted more with KARMA of bad luck and something has to be done to change all this.
It’s like Jimmy White; how many times was he a losing finalist? Liverpool, now 3 times.
That’s not right? 6 WHOLE YEARS WITHOUT SILVERWARE. SOMETHING HAS TO BE DONE TO RECTIFY THIS ONCE AND FOR ALL
YNWA

28th May 2018 at 6:13 am #22289Not nice to read that young Karius has been receiving death threats after his howlers on Saturday. What do these idiots think they’re going to achieve?

28th May 2018 at 6:17 am #22290Every club has got its pair of them, some even have several pairs… surprised Public Enemy #2 hasn’t been getting any “Tough-Guy Cyber Warrior” comments in Spain… shame to read about it, a very quick way to lose any sympathy they may have garnered…

28th May 2018 at 8:07 am #22293And so the long journey home starts. What a great weekend only marginally ruined by our clown keeper! The fine citizens of Kiev can finally reclaim their city, while I’m coming home for some sleep and quite possibly some time in a drying out clinic!
Will post my thoughts on the events when I’m home.

28th May 2018 at 8:19 am #22294We all saw you Double H, running on to the pitch to stop RonnyII from stealing all the glory that comes with scoring the 4th goal, silly boy! Surprised they let you out this early!! π

28th May 2018 at 9:08 am #22299Ed, it’s all about keeping things in perspective Ed.
Of course it’s disappointing to lose but you need lady luck on your side to win the big Cups and the big Finals BUT after accompanying Liverpool on their journey to the Final Lady Luck cruely deserted Liverpool on Saturday.
Even the Bale goal as great as it was 9 times out of 10 would probably have gone over the bar
But at the end of the day it’s just a game of football and everyone needs to remember that and death threats to Karius and terrible things wished on his family from “so called” Liverpool fans is taking things way, way, way to far.

28th May 2018 at 9:48 am #22303No player should receive death threats, and that’s a matter for the Police, nor really, abuse.
Criticism yes, and the howlers can’t be excused. It’s beggar’s belief. As as if Karius doesn’t want anything to do with the ball and there was no need really to be in such a hurry to try and roll the ball out.
The score was 0-0 and we obviously didn’t have to chase the game or anything.
In a way though, you can kind of see this happen in an England game.

28th May 2018 at 10:04 am #22305If you think this current Real Madrid team is bad, ugly, evil and despised enough, wait till Neymar joins them.If it wasnt for them 2 little magicians in…… Fellaini and M.Marin,I would have stopped watching football a long time ago.A game of whores from the red-lights district if you ask me.

28th May 2018 at 11:46 am #22318Mav, I don’t think I’ll ever see Madrid in the light I used to after what happened.
Now I know what Barca have had to put up with for years, but that said, they’re no angels themselves. I like a good game of football with top players, but it’s got to a level now where I just smell bitterness, cynicism and corruption.
There’s far too much money in the game too. From now on, I’m just sticking to my team in the PL, Man City, and a few teams in the Championship.
Until they get the officiating sorted out properly where they have the balls to pull up Ramos, then I for one don’t have a great deal of faith or trust when it comes to certain levels.
I hope the World Cup won’t be a disappointment in this context.

28th May 2018 at 1:21 pm #22321Some guy called Banjo Chuckers put this post up elsewhere.?
“Dunno, if you look a nano-second or two before the fall, youβll notice Salah actaully had Ramos arm looked first and was certainly leaning into him before Ramos went all WWFβ¦ if it went to VAR wouldnβt be at all surprised if the REF gave the free-kick to Real as Salah clearly instigated the contactβ¦
Not condoning Ramos one little bit, but all this nonsense is basically happening because Salah got injured and nothing else⦔
I’m not sure this lad banjo was too far away from the truth and had Salah not been injured the Ramos/Salah coming together wouldn’t even have been a point of discussion now.
It was probably a foul and a yellow card but Ramos didn’t go out to intentionally injure Salah and if it was a Real Madrid plan to get Salah it was a pretty poor one because nobody laid a finger on Salah until the 30th minute.
If anyone is responsible for how Saturday ended it’s Klopp in not buying a qualty Keeper in the Summer when just about every Liverpool fan said they needed one and then restoring an error strewn Karius to the No 1 position it was always an accident waiting to happen and unfortunately it happened again on Saturday.
The fact that Klopp will go out and sign a top Keeper in the Summer only underlines the size of Klopp’s errors.

28th May 2018 at 1:27 pm #22324Anyway, the glass half-full angle to all of this would be to stick with Butterfingers, as we all know he isn’t going to make those mistakes again (maybe the 2nd, but he’s not going to get caught out again chucking the ball!).

28th May 2018 at 1:39 pm #22326Be amazed if Klopp stuck with Karius as his No 1 now these are not one off errors he makes they are consistent errors and the Karius fumble for the Bale goal he did the same v Roma and got away with it.
Gerrard had to put up with all the Slippy ribbing and the Slippy song all over the country but he was mentally strong and not standing right in front of massed opposition fans every other week for 45 minutes like Karius will be.
He needs to get out of the PL now imo and try and rebuild his career elsewhere otherwise the opposition fans will rip him to bits and further destroy him.
