10th April 2020 at 7:40 pm #95046One thing for sure, the amount of repeats being shown means they spend less so should be building up Bank balance, never mind what public wants. They could give themselves a bonus as well!!!

10th April 2020 at 8:46 pm #95051Waspy, I guess a decade of Bacon Land and the Frozen North has given me the ability to cope with dubbed stuff… pity, cyber chum, it just gets better and better…

Last dance is brilliant. Didn’t realise Jordan was that good. His mentality reminds me a bit of Roy Keane. Great watch
Thought gangs of London was very average
Mcmillions is a very good documentary. About the rigged the ma Donald’s monopoly game
Murder mountain on Netflix is very good.
Re-wTched a few films I’d seen years ago

9th June 2020 at 8:42 pm #113868i can highly recomend forged in fire! totally sucked me in, its bake off for blacksmiths/weaponsmiths, they create a weapon from history from scratch and then its tested by judges which means lots of hacking smashing and slashing and some quality blades and some not so good, cracking programme!

10th June 2020 at 11:00 am #113874I enjoyed Ozark, looking forward to Season 4. If you want some more ‘Merican nonsense, try “Blacklist” with James Spader, very silly but quite enjoyable.
Waspy, pity you couldn’t get your head around Dark, really did enjoy that, and I won’t bother recommending that Spanish one (I believe it’s called “Money Heist” in Blightly!) about the robbery at the Royal Mint (and the Royal Bank in later seasons!), that was great to!
Buffy… love Forged In Fire, they have them here on our “History Channel”, it is annoyingly addictive… “Your knive… will cut!”

10th June 2020 at 11:11 am #113875Money Heist was superb. Very much recommend it. Ozark as others have said is also very good. Wont spoil it but the ending to season 3 was great and Darlene has got to be my new hero!
Watching 13th on Netflix, very topical subject given recent events and have to admit it opened my eyes to a few things especially the events just after slavery was abolished in the States.

10th June 2020 at 12:33 pm #113880Sean, you have to have dubbing? I refuse to watch it and often critise the German idea of everything being dubbed. To me it removes a large part of the immersion of the show or film and the performance of the actor. I always use subtitles. In fact I now use subtitles all the time as I struggle to understand certain American accents!

11th June 2020 at 3:57 pm #114104Really? My netflix has a host of language dubbing or original and subtitle languages. Hence why I watch a few spanish series recently.

11th June 2020 at 4:44 pm #114127Sean…yeah, Netflix has subtitles. I’m so bloody deaf, I need them. It’s always very funny using the subtitle option sometimes on live TV eg the footy or the news. The subtitles bear very little resemblance to what is being said. Worth doing if you need a laugh occasionally!
