It’s a bloody big step up though, from Brighton to that lot… maybe a step too far? I’m thinking your Everton’s, Villa’s, even a Newcastle size type of club should have been his next step, but from a time that’s never played in Europe to a team that’ bought two Big Ears in recent years?

Thes best thing is he kinda gets a real free swing this season, having joined in it’s busiest part, then gets mucked about with the worst World Cup in the history of ever (the football is going to be sooo bad!) where 90% of his squad will disappear, then the other half of a condensed season…

I’m guessing this season is all about planning for next season and beyond, looking at the club as a whole, along with the players… probably safer for a manager than coming in and getting a pre-season under his belt.

And with LiVARberoOol having a bit of a stumbling start to the season, the Goonies looking better than they have for years, Spuds looking a bit solid but lacking a bit of mojo, and YooUtd doing they’re best Jekyll and Hyde impression, the “Race 4 2nd Place!” could be the best one for years!
