2nd December 2020 at 6:55 am #171377I managed to solve it with the help of a cousin yesterday but it was bugging me for a long time. Good luck! If you just know the answer from having seen it elsewhere, please refrain from posting it 🙂

2nd December 2020 at 1:32 pm #171387It’s not Sturridge but you’re thinking on the right lines Mikus.

2nd December 2020 at 1:39 pm #171388I think the way it’s worded is trying to make you think he played for Liverpool but I reckon that’s the writer being slippery and leading us astray. The players are also odd, 3 ex or current Liverpool and same for Man Utd. Or could it be an (ex)England international? But then what about Giggs? That means either Welsh, Man Utd or… Team GB?? That would work with the England theory.
I was thinking Gary Cahill but cannot place Hughes or Pearce. Plays with Benteke and has with the english guys.
Clynn? Cannot place Pearce or Mourinho.
Ryan Bertrand? Cannot place Hughes or Pearce, think he played with Benteke in 2013 for Villa.
And I have no idea if any played for Team GB or not or if that is even relevant.

2nd December 2020 at 1:44 pm #171390Anonymouswould it be a bad thing to hypothesize? I cant think of players but I have some ideas of what scenarios we might be dealing with.

2nd December 2020 at 1:48 pm #171391AnonymousAh i see its fine. OK well i think it might be a man city youth product who played at chelsea during Rafas and whatever his name was who won the CL with chelsea time there. Maybe he was on loan at palace at some stage, played with Shelvy while he was called up for england but Im just not great at remembering who this might be.

2nd December 2020 at 1:50 pm #171392Threeps has it, I think! Bertrand was who I got also. I’m pretty sure he fits every criteria. Yes Team GB was the difficult link to the likes of Giggs, Pearce etc.

2nd December 2020 at 1:52 pm #171393Anonymousand ya threeps, I dont think its an ex liverpool player but there are the Conor Coady types who we will have kinda forgotten about, so its not impossible.
Stuart Pierce has worked for both City and England, so that could be another thing to mislead people. if it’s not man city or england then how the hell did a player get in there for man Utd, chelsea and City though? This is a head wrecker lol

2nd December 2020 at 1:57 pm #171397Cahill won the Cl and Prem.
I thought Neville was GB coach but then I never watched a minute of that to be honest.

2nd December 2020 at 1:57 pm #171398Yeh, looking at the Chelsea squad that won the CL in 2012 was almost a first port of call – and I assumed the GB Olympic team covered the other bases.

2nd December 2020 at 1:58 pm #171399I’m 99% sure it is him Mak. He played for Team GB (Giggs, Pearce), England (Rashford, Rooney, Shelvey, Hodgson), Reading (Rodgers), Southampton (Hughes), Chelsea (Jose, Benitez), Won the CL (Chelsea playing LW for RDM), Villa (Benteke) etc

2nd December 2020 at 2:01 pm #171401I was determined for it to be Cahill whilst conveniently forgetting the bit about not winning the league.
