I heard that too Alfie and thought it a strange choice of words. Since then the chatter in media avd also in the game is that he is quitting. Be interesting to see what happens in the next three weeks

22nd April 2018 at 7:32 pm #20841Iβve s feeling there might be a summer merr go round and arsenal and spanish club will be caught up in it. I never expected Poch in it but it seems he is at least part of the gossip.

22nd April 2018 at 7:35 pm #20842I can’t see Pochottino taking another English club. may be United who knows if Mourinho will be there next season. the likely destinations if at all he leaves Spurs are Real Madrid, Barcelona or PSG although the later is very likely.

22nd April 2018 at 8:15 pm #20846AnonymousMadrid is surely too big for Poch, and Utd wonβt sack Mourinho.
Three finals in two years is great, despite the ridiculous claims to the contrary.
PSG will sack their manager, but thatβs hardly a challenge.

22nd April 2018 at 8:59 pm #20848AnonymousIβd put Barca in the same category as Madrid – too big.
Can never say never in football, but just canβt see poch moving across north London.
How long left on his contract? Does anyone know? Levy certainly wouldnβt let him go to Arsenal and I doubt very much he would want him to leave at all if he can help it.

23rd April 2018 at 7:06 am #20854Now Poch has come out and said he might just play the youngsters in next season’s FA Cup. He just doesn’t have the trophy winning mentality, in my opinion, to manage a side in the hunt for multiple trophies. How can a side like Spurs not desperately want to win a cup, which often provides a great foundation for further success?

23rd April 2018 at 8:28 am #20857If all Poch focuses on is winning the PL title or the CL he’s going to end up winning nothing at all at Spurs.
Really bad management by Pochettino imo to talk down the FA Cup like he has previously and has again with his threat to play the kids next Season.
A domestic Cup is often the stepping stone to the top top trophies and you can’t pick and choose what you can win.
Also Spurs best players aren’t going to sit around forever hoping Spurs might win something.
Levy should be bending his ear!

23rd April 2018 at 5:04 pm #20869AnonymousVery glad to have been away for the weekend and after reading the comments I won’t be watching the recording this evening. Firstly congrats to United , I never expected to win so it doesn’t hurt too badly…… sob. One complaint with Poch , why not play your best players in big games, Toby and Hugo . Spurs have a good XI but are far too reliant on them to perform week in week out and if a couple are off their game our bench isn’t good enough to change a game, Moura may become an exception to this. Financially things will improve with the new ground , allowing wages to increase ,will it mean we keep our best players I hope so but will not hold my breath. Spurs have been punching well above their weight considering the restrictions, but should we be winning cups? it would be nice but it doesn’t worry me as I would prefer to start in the new ground next season with a CL spot rather than be FA cup holders .
9 , don’t read too much into Poch’s playing the kids ,he is hurting big time and has been out of character .
Congrats to Chelsea making the final and also to Mo Salah for the PFA player award fully deserved._____________________________

23rd April 2018 at 6:39 pm #20870TBA, I’m sure you’re right and it was a spur of the moment remark borne out of disappointment but never the less I think Poch has to come to terms with the fact that the PL title and the CL will be very difficult for Spurs to win and the FA Cup and the League Cup are a potential bridge to those top two trophies too and the top Spurs players won’t hang around if Spurs can’t win trophies.
Tbh I really fancied Spurs to win the FA Cup this season and imo Poch needs to start respecting both the domestic Cups and go all out to try and win them. Nobody can choose which trophies to win not even Pep and City.

23rd April 2018 at 7:16 pm #20872Anonymous9, of course he would like to win a cup, any cup would be good and to be honest he had put out strong teams as we progressed through the rounds. My issue is Toby and Hugo are the best in their positions, so why go for second best. When looking at the back 5 only Vertonghen played on Saturday so I was not surprised by the result. Last season we had probably one of the best back 4’s with 2 rapid full backs, ones left and the replacements are not good enough. My daughter who saw the game sent me a message saying we had no pace and even after we scored predicted 2-1 to Utd.
It’s not the end of the world …..yet, if after a couple of seasons we are still coming up short in domestic cups then I will start to worry big time._____________________________
