22nd March 2021 at 8:29 am #176766Agree Sean. All are odds on with the bookies. If anyone does drop out, I still have a feeling Leicester will be the one to have a wobble. They play City next with a difficult trip to West Ham after that. Their last 3 games are then Utd, Chelsea and Spurs. I genuinely think either Spurs or West Ham could catch Leicester with Liverpool an outside chance, too. 10 points is not impossible to claw back considering Leicester’s remaining fixtures.

22nd March 2021 at 8:38 am #176767Spurs are coming up on the rails and are only 3 points off 4th place good comeback win yesterday too after the disappointment of Zagreb.
And Jose is desperate to prove everyone wrong too!
I hope not but you wouldn’t put it past him π

22nd March 2021 at 8:41 am #176768Nine, I sense another “my greatest ever achievement..” moment if he does get top 4 π. Would be kind of ironic considering how much stick he used to give Arsenal for basically being content with 4th every season

22nd March 2021 at 9:05 am #176769I think that 3rd and 4th place is still way open with so many teams only a few points away from each other. Chelsea are on a decent run but have not really impressed except for the games against Athletico. Obviously City and probably United are there but any of many teams can still make it

22nd March 2021 at 12:29 pm #176770It certainly wonβt be us! Awful again yesterday
Tho makes you wonder why West Ham didnβt play like that against UnitedAwful tactics bad play and just saved from total embarrassment
Pure mud table team now and we still arenβt moving up!!

22nd March 2021 at 12:50 pm #176771Steve, similarly, I wish we got the Leicester you lot smashed at their place a few weeks ago!
Agree with you re Arsenal. I worry for your club, I really do. I used to really dislike Arsenal through the Ferguson vs Wenger years but it’s quite telling that I actually feel sorry for them now. I want to start disliking them again π

22nd March 2021 at 3:09 pm #176774Who qualifies for the top 4 will not go past Everton imo there are too many Clubs in a better position to go below that sorry Stevo.
Who finally finishes in the top 4 however from United down to Everton is anyone’s guess.
Things change very quickly a few days ago Jose and Spurs were a write off now they are just 3 points off of the top 4.

4th April 2021 at 3:59 pm #177083Looking competitive and pretty evenly matched.
Can’t really impose any pressure on us. Baby steps. First of all, let’s win a game or two in succession and build from there.

4th April 2021 at 4:47 pm #177086Pressure is on every Club in the race for the top 4 particularly Liverpool they’re the Champions and won the PL by a mile last season they should be finishing in the top 4 at least this season and I think they probably will.

4th April 2021 at 5:23 pm #177089Strange stuff. Us and spurs looked dead and buried from 4th two weeks ago
Chelsea looked done two months ago.
Still think it will finish as the teans are currently place with maybe Chelsea finishing a head of Leicester
Leicester have some really tough games left

4th April 2021 at 5:27 pm #177090Well nine, I think most Liverpool fans had written off top 4 weeks ago mate so itβs a real surprise we are back in with a chance.
We need to start winning at home before we really can be taken seriously again
As nil said yday and i said weeks ago, we just wanted to get back enjoying watching us play again and thatβs happened recently
We really were dreadful

4th April 2021 at 5:33 pm #177091Leicester could open things up for everyone imo Sean.
Liverpool look much stronger now.
Spurs, West Ham and Everton all still all in it. If Chelsea can get back on a good run we’ve got a chance but it might all depend on Leicester dropping away.
So hard to call and massive pressure all the teams.
Spurs letting in that late equaliser in the last few minutes was a help for everyone.
We all need Wolves to get a result v West Ham tomorrow. π

4th April 2021 at 5:36 pm #177092Too much quality at Liverpool for the poor run to last much longer than it did getting the Centre back pairing right and getting Fabinho back into midfield was the key for Liverpool Sean.

4th April 2021 at 5:57 pm #177095I’m sure Liverpool will end up 3rd, that 4th position is there to take for so many teams.

4th April 2021 at 6:02 pm #1770969 – your lot still have to be favourites for 4th position…points on the board and all that, plus a healthy goal difference. It’s obviously a lot tighter now than it was Saturday morning, but I’d still have you doqwn as favourites. Think you’re just not wanting to jinx it! The bottom line is that there are cases to be made for everyone from Leicester down to Everton as to why they should make it and also why they may not. Everton and West Ham have no distarctions which will help them. It’s going to be exciting, and I’m just grateful our season hasn’t disappeared like it threatened to a few weeks ago. Have to say, I would happily sacrifice top 4 for a CL win, obviously, I suppose, but the thought of No 7 does excite me. So many echoes of 2005 as well. Istanbul as a venue, Chelsea (probably) in the semis, a crap domestic season. The stars are aligning!!

4th April 2021 at 6:16 pm #177098Hightown, not according to the bookies mate.
Latest SkyBet Odds as of today:
Premier League Top 4 Finish 20/21 betting | Football | Bet with Sky Bet
Leicester. 2/5. Chelsea. 11/10. Liverpool. 11/10. Tottenham. 2/1. West Ham. 9/2. Everton. 12/1. Arsenal. 33/1. Aston Villa. 50/1Liverpool and Chelsea are now neck and neck.π
I’m not sure Chelsea have a healthy goal difference either we’ve got one more than Liverpool and 3 less than both Leicester and Spurs.
The 2 points difference is there thankfully but even that could disappear should West Ham beat Wolves they would then move a point ahead of Chelsea. Hopefully Wolves do us all a favour.
As for not jinxing it I don’t believe in such things and I just call it as I see it.
Like you I would swap top 4 for Chelsea winning the CL.π
