24th December 2019 at 10:26 am #57376Think the only shock is Brendan, he has a lot of reason to be thankful for those arsenal rumours! Also is it a sign of heightened ambition at Leicester? As in this season wont just be a one off?

24th December 2019 at 10:36 am #57377dont see why it should eb for Leicester, they have owners who are rich and invest but do so smartly, they seem to have a plan and ambition and with increased TV revenue and mugging of united for HM can compete financially…i think they are on a road map to a being a bigger more sustained club rather then just a surprise package top 6 club, they need to strengthen in attack tho, jamie vardy is awesome but age iis going to get him soon and without him they dont score enough….hell of a lot to pay a manager if you odnt have serious ambitions! on more then the Barca and RM coaches!

24th December 2019 at 1:09 pm #57382Some crazy salaries if they’re anywhere near accurate and as good as Rodgers has been at Leicester to be earning more than the Managers of both Real and Barca seems odd to me.
I’m sure Klopp got a big increase when he signed his new contract but from Β£7m to Β£15m seems a tad unlikely maybe with bonuses for winning the biggest trophies?
All bonkers imo alongside players wages and transfer fees. Jadon Sancho for instance with an alleged fee of Β£120m????

24th December 2019 at 7:03 pm #57388The only coaches who are earning their wages on merit are Klopp, Rodgers and Pep. others are just hit and miss.

26th December 2019 at 8:57 am #57395But Nine,
those two coaches are not in the list of the 15 highest paid managers in football. several coaches who are not in that list are doing great jobs in the league._____________________________

26th December 2019 at 9:25 am #57399Just broadening it out buddie and saying what a fantastic job those two are doing, Sheffield United are Chelsea’s nearest challenger for a top 4 place and Wolves aren’t far behind. Who would have thought that?

26th December 2019 at 10:06 am #57401Nine….I would like to see more of it….i.e the Sheff Utd/Wolves/ etc etc we need that kind of injection in the game to save us City, Utd, Liverpool Arsenal Spurs fans droning on how good we are….good luck to the up and coming teams
A team cannot be a Champion unless others are competing and we must respect that other teams have contributed to the EPL as much as the top ones….imo_____________________________

26th December 2019 at 6:46 pm #57415Put the salaries in some perspective (in football terms)….Ozil Β£18.2m a year. Sanchez on approx Β£20m. Who would you rather have Sanchez or Pep as an employee!
