Well you are right Newblance..the game has become statiscally controlled by those who wish to think it is a science…science it is not and fans do take it as life or death most aspects of the game. We have to acknowledge the fact that it is run by the media now and if for example one of the media nerds wants to develop issues on ca certain player or manager they will make it a “project” Truth or reality does not enter into it, the fans get sucked in, hysteria prevails
I believe because of the above fans do not love the game as much now because they are pre conditioned We also have an ever increasing armchair fans, they are important for the media because they in turn attract the “ads” and revenue they enjoy at some stage the bubble will burst and we may get back to a less tribal fan base and start enjoying the game of football from 22 players

to get back to that handball decision imo Dean called it correctly as the players arms were not at his side plus the ball hit him plumb on the hands not on the upper arm which is normally the contentious area-obviously the handball decision the day before which was not given added a lot of comparative fuel to the fire.

Pwy, good point but Owners and Boards panic on the back of such a run with relegation beckoning which is why the majority of the changes happen at the bottom end of the table.

Seemingly the Stoke fans have turned against Hughes too which is never a good sign.

Allegedly Stoke want a British Manager which if true reduces the field considerably ironically short term Pullis could probably have stopped the rot but he’s off the market now.
