No worries Paul. I’d be the same if it was the other way around π.
Yeah no doubt about the fact I’d stick with ETH over Southgate. I know a lot who say the same so I’m surprised I’m the first you’ve heard that from. ETH has done some crazy things this season and seems incapable of learning from his mistakes but his Ajax side were brilliant to watch and he’s got us to 3 finals in 2 seasons. He took Ajax to a CL semi and kept them being competitive in the CL, winning all 6 group games just a couple of years after that semi run, one of very few sides to have done that. What has Southgate done in club football by comparison?
Ten Hag has been working within absolute mess of a club since he came in. I now remain unconvinced that he can be successful at Utd but he’s certainly not been working within a solid foundation and one which is built to thrive.
My money would currently be on Tuchel or Potter, neither of which particularly excite me. Either way, Ten Hag is gone this summer.

27th April 2024 at 9:55 pm #214204Looking at the options, I am more than happy for Ten Hag to be given another season under the Ineos leadership.
Don’t want Tuchel, Potter, Southgate anywhere near my club.
Get rid of the lack of passion dickheads and I am sure we will be fine.

1st May 2024 at 8:42 am #214295Tuchel is now the favourite and multiple reports suggest talks have taken place. Considering the alternatives now available (Motta has pretty much agreed to go to Juve and the thought of Southgate is scary) and considering Bayern could well still win the CL this season, I’m actually warming to the idea of Tuchel and I never thought I’d say that.

1st May 2024 at 3:52 pm #214296I think tuchel is the best option out there for all the clubs looking ed and he comes with a lot of baggage.

He is the only one out there with any real pedigree. Thereβs absolutely no one around thiugh they i would be fully happy wiyh
I predict a massive slump and we be looking for another manager with in 18 months

2nd May 2024 at 8:26 am #214305Never fry and agg until it’s cracked… Arnie could very well be an Angie (but will need a season or two) or not… I doubt he’ll have enough to beat the 115 (not while Pepe is in charge) or even the Goonies, but I don’t think it’s unreasonable for him to keep the Micky Mousers in the Top 4… look at the rest of the field?
Plenty of rumors ETH will get another crack next year, but with a complete rebuild on the cards will another year be enough? Then again, with only 1 year left on his contract it wouldn’t make much of a difference if YooUtd didn’t show any progress in the next 12 months…

2nd May 2024 at 11:05 am #214309Fair points Sean pal.I’d argue Conte and Jose have better CV’s.But both are even more divisive than Tuchel. For the way Conte acted at the end at the 1963 he shouldn’t work again imo
A few yooutd fans I know say the same as Banjo. They won’t sack ETH because they can’t afford too?
I still think/hope Southgate rocks up at old trafford if yooutd to fire ETH(Sorry Ed π

2nd May 2024 at 12:44 pm #214312Rumors suggest INEOS reckon ETH was a bit hamstrung by the “backroom” so they’re going to change that and see what ETH can do with the right support… all sounds logical, if not agreeable, but what can ETH do in 12 months?

2nd May 2024 at 1:17 pm #214313Speaking of Tuchel, Ragnick has confirmed he will not be taking the Bayern job. So that’s one of the very biggest boys still looking for a manager.

2nd May 2024 at 2:09 pm #214316Whoever came up with some of these numbers needs to stop drinking at work… π π
Rashford – 106m
Antony – 63m
Dalot – 61m
Onana – 61m
Bruno – 60m?? (Possibly the closest so far on the list but still pushing it I reckon!)And then it goes bonkers in the complete other direction…
Martinez – 25m?? Easily double that, maybe even triple…

2nd May 2024 at 4:28 pm #214319Arnie could very well be an Angie
Here’s hoping Chucky π.
I don’t believe the rumours that Ten Hag could stay. I think the decision has been made already that he’ll go. That’s certainly the impression I’ve got from the usually reliable people I follow. 100% rather that than Southgate though. They’d never purposely leak info that he’s due to be sacked when there’s a cup final to play.

10th May 2024 at 2:12 pm #214561If ETH goes, and Poch gets the sack at Chelsea, what about Poch at Utd next season.
I’d have him over Tuchel. Always thought Tuchel was the German Jose Mourinho.

11th May 2024 at 6:11 am #214565He needs to pull something off against Arsenal Sunday. If it’s a hammering, then I can only see Newcastle do the same.
The Cup Final my reckoning is his final ‘get out of jail card’. Would that triumph wash away with the faithful though?
