And let us not forget that Messi lost two consecutive finals to an Average Chile. those who are saying he is better than Ronaldo need to justify how? Ronaldo led Portugal until the final, and unfortunately he was injured then. Messi missed the decisive penalty that could have secured his team the trophy. both have won 5 Ballon D’orr trophies. and i won’t be surprised if Ronaldo wins this season. you are saying that a team should be built around Ronaldo. actually its Messi that need a team to built around him. take Ronaldo out of Real and they are average Ronaldo makes them super team .

C-man… the problem with your post above is it’s tone is based on the assumption that the majority have accepted RonnyII as the G.O.A.T, and challenging the rest of us who would disagree to prove otherwise, claiming Youtube video’s aren’t enough. Now, this could easily be thrown straight back at you, with exactly the same argument, with those who think Messi is the G.O.A.T., and simply ask you to do the same. We also need proof… nobody solves anything.
To tackle this from a more productive angle, I ask you to define in your own opinion, exactly what the criteria is for a player, any player, to be considered the G.O.A.T.?

First i didn’t claim that Ronaldo is better than Messi. it was Maverick who claimed otherwise. and i challenged him to prove how Messi could be considered better player than Ronaldo. and all i got was YouTube videos. do you know that you can make those videos by yourself? both players have 5 Ballon D’orr trophies, both has 4 Champions league trophies. Ronaldo has become the first player to score 9 successive champions league games. he is breaking every record in this world. and on the International stage he has done better than Messi no doubt about that unless you close your eyes. somebody has to show me where Messi betters Ronaldo then?

The reason from my point of view why I doubt Lionel Messi is because he’s placed in a more easier climate and league of football.
Ronaldo likewise, but I feel there’s something special about him at an International Level which I have not seen from Lionel.
And that’s Why Diego remains the greatest for decades as far as representing Argentina goes.
